ouh alright thanks for your help guys. I have one last q though, would one of you happen to know the best way for compressing the file? because i dont have like a massive hardrive, and when i export what i have made so far (about 5 min) it takes up like 2 gigs lol. Can you somehow compress it so it isnt too large, but has the right pixel aspect ratio (4:3) so it can be imported into adobe Encore DVD?

thanks for your help

Output it to .m2v using the mpeg2 convertor inside premiere. It is this format that can be imported directly into encore and laid to the dvd.

Using anything else is going to require two transcodings.

yeah thats what i dis, but it makes my file size HUGE i only had about 5 min of folm made and it took up a few gigs. How do you somehow make it so it doesnt take that much up?

.m2v should get you about 2hours of footage in 8gb's. If it doesn't you've messed with the output settings somehow.

Even high quality DV only takes up 12gigs an hour.
