Perhaps that isn't the best angle, but from the moment I saw the concept I was in love with it! :D

Cool!!

I don't like it but it has a lot of presence, everybody will look at it !

Almost all Alfas are cool, despite I don't like them

The 8c Competizione is more to sub zero than the Brera, but still no doubt cool. The GTA with black front is gonna be a beauty!

cool its not perfect but when it comes to streets i think it would sound and look like almost sub zero :D 8)

Chaos in 1983!
11-18-2005, 01:33 PM
uncool...just because they built this rather than building the 8C...

Subzero!!

With the 159 and the Brera Alfa started a new page. If only it was a bit cheaper...

hey alfa, thanks for turning a 2 door coupe into crap! :-D

Awful :( such a grand nose... ruined by FWD and a hatch. 4 doors are much cooler

Hovering somewhere between cool and uncool.. The fwd makes it uncool, but I have to disagree with the comments on look.. Even as someone who doesn't like modern hatches, I like the look.

But it's also available in AWD, so...

Why are people being so picky, oh it has FWD its not cool, details details they are boring as hell not what the cool wall is about IMO.

graywolf624

fwd, unlike most details.. Just seriously harms cool.. Without the ability to do real power slides and spin the appropriate tires.. The possibility of cool is severely diminished to me.

meh, a car can be shit to drive and still cool ;-) Anyway FWD can be fun, ever tried a proper mini? Not braking for corners= fun. ah shit i forgot you don't have corners out there :P

Yes we do, we just prefer a miata to do them in if we want to go sans power.. Good old fashion rwd.

The Brera is absolutely sub-fucking-zero!!!

Like JC said, its pure pornography :P

Tou could shove a diesel in this one... well perhaps not a diesel, but a 690cc petrol, and it would still be subzero because of its styling

But with a beautiful alfa engine in it, it will be the best lookin car and it will sound great too 8)

Oops, voted cool by accident. The concept car was cool but the actual car, probably not.

How can that be, since the prod. car is almost identical to the concept...

Seriously uncool.

Not per se because of the design (which is a dissapointment when looking at the concept), but it's overweight by a mile and it handles bad for any Alfa. Also, Why bother with a Brera when you can have the better driving, better looking Alfa GT?

I loved the concept with the flip up doors... but the production version is a slight let down. I saw one a while back, a black one...the rear looks strange. But the killer is the diesel in the line up. Not cool :(

I went sub zero on this one, I could give up owning a Porsche for a few years if I had one.

I like it. it's just beautifull, sounds great, and verry original.

Cool to look at, but not that interesting as a driver's car... too bad, still "cool" I think!

Gorgeous and beautiful car in every way. But I'd rather have the Alfa Romeo GT...

Nevertheless subzero! 8-)

<-------

On topic, I don't think an affordable coupe like the Brera can qualify as "sub-zero" because too many people are able to buy one. Sub-zero cars are mad, near-suicidal affairs built to hurl off mountain roads at 200+ kph.

In my GT 130kph was pretty damned frightening in Switzerland, and I suspect that with the heavier Brera this would be even worse.

For looks and sheer presence though, the Brera definitely deserves to be at the very cool end of cool. Whatever that means.
