A Week In Cologne

After a very busy peroid it was about time for some relaxed stuff. So we borrowed my g/f's mom's VW Lupo and my g/f and I head off to my dad's apartment in Cologne. Photography wasn't the main cause of this vacation, but to the ambitionous amateur that's only a weak excuse for the significant other. ;)

The awesome Schloss Augustusburg in Brühl, a little south of Cologne. It's also called the Versaille of Cologne. I wanted a symmetric picture with lots of water in the foreground, so I climbed in a muddy fountain that was fortunately switched off. Gave me some weird looks from other tourist, but I got the shot I had in mind.:

We plan on going again in spring 2006, and my g/f wants to visit the Nürburgring Nordschleife. 8)

Nope, learned it all by myself. As a matter of fact, I bought my EOS350D (my first camera) on the 8th of June this year, so I've been busy for a little over 5 months now.
