I had to go out for dinner half way through extra time - but the resulting celebrations at the bar across the street kind of gave the result away. :lol:

Another thing we should point out is that last night the country celebrated the victory on the streets and at bars - and NO arrests!!

I'd like to see that happen in some other countries...... :)

It was a very thrilling match againt Turkey although we won the first match 2:0 and some bad scenen happend besides/after the match :? :x :( , the security and turkish staff attacked swiss players and coaches on the way to the wardrobe, several insured and 1 in the hospital , I hope they will be punished hard by the FIFA :x

holland has qualified too (we're 2nd in the world ranking i believe) but isnt nearly good enough to win the championship at the moment imo...

I guess he was self defending him, or you could say : dozens of Turkish players/security guards/... were kicking the swiss and one was kicking back ...

Fact is: the swiss had to "hide" in their wardrobe for more than 30 minutes until the first live interview on the television could be held :?

Thats the one thing I hate about soccer - players and fans that just take it too far.

I mean why can't they just watch/play the game and enjoy it, and then win or lose get over it - no need for violence and that crap. :x
