Weyhey!

Just come back from the test centre.

I got 34/35 on the multiple choice questions (you need 30 to pass) and
65/75 on the hazard perception test (you need 44 to pass)

I am now one very happy bunny

Just need to get the practical test booked and passed now!

Good work 8) and good luck.

I so far have passed all my driving tests first time (touch wood for the one that I have left). The day I got a licence to drive on my own I went for my first drive on my own and went 105kph (~65mph) through a corner in an 80kph (50mph) zone as I was slowing down (still doing about 10-15 over) a cop car drove past in the other direction, as it was the third cop car that I had seen in the last ten minutes I figured I should probably just stick to the limits

well done dude, though to be honest you have to be quite retarded not to IMO (*waits for offended people to attack me)

Anyway as far as test stories well, on my real test i drove out of the test centre stopped at some traffic lights, pulled away when the lights turned green when some dappy cow stepped out from right in front of me between 2 cars, i braked in such a panic i stalled. (even i was quite nervous and i never get like that for tests!) My examiner swore several times at her, not to loud luckily so no arguement ensued, i got on with it and passed with 7 minor faults, 2 for speed approaching corners (i was in a mini for fucks sake) and 2 for not enough mirror use, just try not to get picked up on small shit like and you'll be fine I bet :D. Remember i think its 3 in one "area" to get a major fault!

yeah your right AL,3 minors in one area and it gets changed to a major therefore a fail.i got 5 minors,he said i didnt have any untill the last 5 minutes of the test,as i was gettin nervous knowing i was heading back to the test centre.lol

but yeah AL is right Tom,make sure you always use your mirrors and make sure the examiner knows your lookin in your mirrors, when i check mine now i hardly move my head, but on your test, make sure you do move your head so he/she can see your checkin, its just little things like that which can giv you those 3 little minor faults in one category.

Well done mate - getting your license is one of the best things that will happen to you IMO.

Its been a few years now for me, but the freedom of having your own car and driving wherever you like (and how fast you want) is great!!! :D

If it wasn't 10:30PM I'd go out for a drive now.... :P

I also passed theorethical part at the first attempt :), but then failed the practical one because of speeding! (stupid 40kph limit sign)

I did my theory test about a month ago and failed by 1 mark. got 35/35 on the questions and 43/75 onthe hazard perception. Whats worse is I don't know what let me down and I had been practicing those hazard perceptions for weeks getting 60+ on average.

Retaking it on the 30th of November and I'm really worried because I don't know what let me down on the hazard perception :P

nahh you'll be fine. As a tip, keep your eyes on indicators and stuff way ahead in the road.

Congrats, Tom! Now you need to put your knowledge to use in car on the road. Too bad it takes so long to start with your first lesson. Good luck with it!

Make us proud, little man! (I fear I might shed a tear of joy when he finally gets his license. It's hard facing the fact they grow up, you know... :P  )

Haha, well done!

I only had to do the Highway code test. None of this hazzard malarky!
