Hey Guys!
I've been feeling horrible for the last days and I don't even see a particular reason why. It might be because I'm too chicken to tell this girl how I feel about her, or something. Anyway, I wanted to ask you if you have any "cures" for depression. What do you guys do when you're feeling down?

If I'm feeling down over a girl or something, I usually try to hang out with my friends as much as possible, so I won't think so much about it.. And when I go to bed, I read a book till I'm so tired I can't think of anything besides sleeping...
That's what I do, hope that can help some...

I'm pretty down at the moment and the only thing that helps is the new girl im going out with... and the sex...
So yeah, my advice is to ask this chick out. What are you waiting for? Go for it dude :)

The only way is a way through  Its not gonna kill you, atleast you will know how it is.
i seem to be always depressed when im off and stay at home doing nothing...kinda isolate myself for the day...by mid day i feel like shit..just call a friend go for a bite or go out for some drinks....stay with friends be social...only you can make yourself sick!!

Get a multi-vitamin with plent of b6 - it'll really make you feel better. Shoppers has a "LIFE" product called "stress caplets" and they're full of b6 :fadein:
Advice - get drunk and do something ridiculous

hmmm...ask her, it really is better to know how she feels (this is coming form some1 who heard the girl he likes isnt into him just a couple of days ago)...i was kinda depressed for awhile, but after that ends, the world just semes sunny. listenign to good music and talking to your friends is also highly recommended (i always listen to the chili peppers when im down, never fails to cheer me up :D )

My advice is to talk to her and try your hardest to be yourself.
Never be anxious because of what has not yet happened. Face the moment that you have feared and you shall have your answer. Delight in your answer since you are no longer wondering.
Just my thoughts as alcohol has never been of comfort to me in those times.

invite her over for drinks!!
then let her get tipsy while you switch yours for water. Then tell her how you feel. If she laughs about it later, you can blame it on the "alcohol". If she feels the same way, she'll tell you (a drunk person never lies  )
that way once if she passes it off as you being drunk after she tries backtracking to avoid being embarrassed, you just reveal you were drinking water, not vodka :D

I'm in a similar boat--broke up with my girlfriend of two + years and I'm depressed a lot.
I've been hitting the bottle once or twice a week, I don't think it's healthy though...
holy crap - is being young in "modern times" really this depressing?
What happened to entertaining yourself with hobbies and reading and outdoor activities and sports... :)
Bad, go beat some dudes up under the guise of Taikwondo.. ;)
Above all, eat right, play right and don't "worry" about the shit that is going to be folowing you for the restof your life.
:)

Well, it most definitely isn't. I tried to drink some rum (the only drink I had in the house) but didn't have Coke to mix it with so I tried mixing it with tea and it sucks. So no drinking for me tonight. Fuck...this is not the solution. I set my clock to wake me up at 8 tomorrow and I'll go for a long run. That should solve some of my problems.

I was actually going to suggest that - go get some good hard physical exercise in to get those endorphins flowing

NOPE , when you`re depressed sex it`s the only thing that doesn`t work.
The best thing to do , besides drinking  it`s the sport , but not any kind , try some extreme stuff , like inline skates or a bike , and go to a skate park and try the halfpipe , your depression will go away the moment you`re up there . and you`re looking down , and it`s sooo tempting . :P
If you don`t like extreme sports , than take a mountain trip , helps a lot . :P

just don't break any bones by trying something too crazy... that would lead to a new level of depression :(

It was merely my solution for the worlds overpopulation problem. I am just trying to help - one person at a time.
Personally, if I feel bad I just goto sleep.

MIHAI if you was serios of what you wrote in first post - just do it. If not, than its a completely different conversation
Then just go do something that will take all your attention - physical work is a great cure for any depression just like sports are, the more you have to physically move and work hard the better it is - no time for thoughts, after a couple of days you'll feel great... and physically exhausted :D

Yea they're right, working out helps a lot. I've been doing that in between drinking and it helps.
