why am i not surprised by this??
Thants not good... someone is spying on you...
I'll go... I'll go... I'll go... Keyboard'll go no more... kkkkkkkkkk :P
But then again, anytime an applicaiton has focus... uhm by desing it "monitors your keyboard and mouse movements"... because that's how freaking application work... ;)
Applications need to monitor for User Input... and you guessed it, by Keyboard and Mouse input.. :P
So more than likely ZoneAlarm is just set to paranoid mode... :)

I guess the explanation from RC45 makes more sense than a global conspirancy done to spy at everything that everyone is doing.
But I am afraid you also started someting else that can't be stoped here also, so for the admins: please lock this topic quickly before it gets infested also

Do you have the "auto away" feature enabled? Perhaps MSN is trying to "detect" whether you're actively using your computer (i.e. mouse/keyboard usage).
Okay, for the more technical people....
I think ZoneAlarm detected MSN is trying to get a global hook to captures kb/mouse events. Certain keyloggers use that feature in the windows API so I wouldn't be surprised if ZA is putting out a warning for that.
After inadvertantly installing ZoneAlarm I also started getting similar prompts for almost every software I have.
Don't worry, nothing is monitoring anything. ZoneAlarm is just crap.
Solution: Change ZoneAlaram settings, or better still uninstall it and get yourself some proper software firewall.

How is ZoneAlarm 6 Crap? That's one of the best anti-everything you can buy. It might be a little over zealous, but that's why it always gets top marks for spyware/virus/hacker/spam detection.

It's not a bad piece of software but it certainly isn't the best for my needs. It has quite a strong set of features but it's too much of a whiny babysitter. The interface seems intuitive at first but the bloated colored windows quickly becomes annoying after repeated use. The new ZoneAlarm security suite is a big improvment, but the firewall component is still lagging behind software firewalls like Sygate.
On my pc ZoneAlarm was unbearable, it kept showing this "trying to monitor mouse movement..." thing for half my software EVEN after I check the remember answer box. I don't consider that to be a minor issue. (I eventually managed to turn off this behaviour.)
As for spyware/virus/spam detection that is a plus for zonealarm although it would probably be a better idea to use stand-alone progs.
