Interesting ! Thanks mate :D But it has the same power as the W12 and less torque. I suppose it will be sportier but they could maybe have done something with the W12 ... I am sure it isn't much more heavy than this V10.

It's gotta be intense - the reality is - ppl love to talk numbers but most ppl can barely get the most of a car with 100 hp

Yes, the W12 is shorter but wider that the V10. The overall packaging of the W12 however adds a lot of weight to the front of the car. As sad a larger (and heavier) radiator is needed, this means extra weight in front of the front axle, which is bad for the handling.

One of the main advantages of the V10 is of course the sportier character of the engine compared to the W12. So the W12 is for the powerful more luxurious cars.

I know there are rumours about a 600hp BiTurbo W12 or 650hp for the Audi RS8. Some sources say the RS8 will be a sportsback like the Avantissimo concept. Currently, I don't know the status of this project. Let's hope Audi will put the green light. :wink:

But I don't like the horizontal slates on the front grill. It looks too much like a checker board.

I agree with you blinkmeat - those insane figures are just marketing stuff... and in most of the cases, the old-fat-rich owners will only experience the full potential of the car twice in their lifetime :D 450hp is enough... I remember the old S8 with 340hp... and it was already considered an "autobanh rocket" :P

That's exactly the same for the owners of a lot of supercars. They don't have enouhg driving skills to take their cars to the limits. But who cares ??

That car is just gorgeous. I was a fan of the previous S8, and I'm definitely a fan of this one. Thats such a beastly luxo cruiser I love it. And who doesn't like a 450bhp 5.2L V10 (even if its towing an enormous car). :twisted:
And I think the shield grille works really well on it too (not so much on the A4s... etc)
