My friend and I are in the midst of pitching our plan to VC's in hopes of securing some start-up capital - 2m we hope - 25m would be ideal.

Anyone had any luck?

The VC's are out there - but the Dot Com days are long gone, so you will actually have to have a sound plan for making profit from income - not some bogus subscription concept... ;)

blinkmean if you have a good idea and a proposal and biz plan, why not go to the bank and start your biz? I mean if your looking for 25 million then it better be fucking unreal idea! 8)

Have a clear picture of things like EVA (economic value added= return on investment-cost of capita). Time to break even. SWOT analysis. ect.

Otherwise go very professional.. attire, presentation style, ect. First impressions are often everything.
