OMG!!!!
that sounds simply amazing, looks like a DEMON.... everywhere, every angle!
thanks for the great link Nuno

i love how the car didn't even get out of shape anywhere... its got to be running a fair race slick compound... alex, is it any particular rubber designed for it?

no idea, I bet its your basic ALMS, FIA GT slick Michelin or Pirelli compound.

I wonder which is faster - the FXX or the MC12 (the racer I mean :D ) :hmm:

I think its safe to say the FXX, it brakes the same that an MC12, by the looks of it corners just as well and it got 800bhp and the MC12 600-650, 700 tops and I doubt it, the FXX having 800 has at least 100bhp over it

being ferrari, im guessing they are using the same race compound the maserati team is, which is a Pirelli.

they are very fast in ALMS, but the tires are a week point on our race tracks for longetivity... but seem to work well in european tracks in FIA GT

I wonder which is faster - the FXX or the MC12 (the racer I mean )

my bet goes with the FXX as well, not only does it have at least 100 hp on the MC12, but im betting it may have active aero like the street Enzo, so it may be conciderably faster in corners, while a lot faster in the straits, and = braking... its not built for any race class; which is Aswome IMO

That's strange, the sound is closer to the F50 than to the Enzo. They should have put this exhaust on the production Enzo

Goddam!!!!!!!!! This thing is EVIL!!!!!!

I think Pirelli designed the slicks for the FXX, but I could be wrong...

According to the guy who shot the video, with the right setup it can do a 1:40 (faster than the MC12).

And by the way, the tyres are made by Bridgestone.

That sound... wow..

The guy that recorded the vide sure did a nice job not compressing the sound too much.

i dun think there is 100-150kg of difference

its hard to say; since the FXX was never designed to have the creature compforts of road ammenities. and the cockpit of the enzo may only way a seat+seatbelt more then the MC12 racer. the extra weight of the enzo came in its various road compromises (softer bushings, hydrolic lifters for road hight) sound deadening (in car videos of the Enzo never have transmission noise)... more weight seems in the body... but what? mabey less then 10kg
did they shave off 400+kg? its possible; since the MC12 is an enzo race car, but i think it has a steel tube chassis per GT1 regulations; which is heavier then the CF monicoque.

it may be somewhat heavier, but mabey less then 100kg, and a better power/weight ratio... and likely, more D/F when it needs it, and less when it doesnt?

may I'm understanding in the wrong way ... but the MC12 race car has a carbonfibre chassis

I'm pretty sure that the minimum GT class weight is 1100kg. Can tell you for certain tomorrow. Assume that thats only including vital fluids such as oil etc, no petrol in the tank.

yes, and most of the entries these days are under the minium, so they add weight to meed the minimum; and it also aids to the balance of the car.

The MC12 weights 1110kg... and the stock Enzo 1255 - I can't find the FXX weight, but I guess it's something between them :?

pretty sure mc12 doesnt weigth 155kg lighter than enzo.
from my memory, it is only few pounds lighter,, like 60 o r 70

if u say mc12 weight 1110kg.. that = 2442 pound.. i dun think so
and enzo doest not weight 1255kg..that =2761pounds

enzo weights around 13xx kg

"I found the info on seriouswheels, or fast-autos, or ultimatecars... one of those sites - don't remember now Confused

Being the minimum weight about 1100kg for the FIA GT cars, I'm sure the Maser weights less than that, probably around 50kg less... so they can place the "extra" weight where they need it to be."

are we talking about the mc12 road car, or the race car here?
