... I am guessing the only thing that can save New Orleans now is some cheat code for cash....

The city is now broke (no shit sherlock - no residents or businesse means no income ;)) and they are basicly shut down.

I don't remember ever playing SimCity and being able to save such a situation without using the money cheat.

Any other ideas?

Sell the place to China or to India. They need space and you need money.

where the hell did that come from?

well, the best cheat code i think they could use is what brought us out of the depression years ago... Public Works programs... like a new, and proper levee system, and such... it will employ the peeps, bring in local tax revenue, and 'just' hurt the fed.

yeah that would be the best way to do it. just pay people to rebuild it. creates jobs. ...maybe they could build an american nurburgring... germany built the ring partly to create jobs... i think

haah imagine racing on that during a hurricane.

Ill buy Lousiana for 5 dollars.

Land was already cheap down there, now who knows what a 100K can buy you down there. Hell id buy 100K in the northern part of the state and build a big ass mansion.

Must avoid giving a lecture on how government spending from a given level will be a net 0 sum game for benefits on that same level, since the keynsian multiplier is 1 and thus things like the nurburing did not help the national economy when considered from an employment jobs stand point. It did from an infrastructure stand point, but thats a seperate issue. That being said, the fed will prolly just hemmorage cash to the state and louisiana will be fine while the country as a whole suffers.

What should we really do about it? Bull dose the whole place and give it up to water... move the people elsewhere..
rather then attempt to put people in a spot that nature never intended them to survive and will always reclaim.

I say we turn it into a prison. one big ass prison, and let them fight it out with the alligators. That is of course after i have gone to mardi gras, i need to do that once.
