Once again, I am in a rush, so I will spare you the long blabla.. let's say this one is a very HUGE British car meeting where anything goes, from an useless Range Rover, to a sexy Speed Six. last year it was sunny and as far as they say, 2000 cars came. Sadly I wasn't aware. I was this time though :D
The weather was really awfull, dark, rainy and cold.. still, hundreads of cars showed up, impossible to count, but it was impressive

Here are some previews, click them to find the full 107 pics update!

I never saw an Alvis before, and Saturday I saw probably 10 or more

Thank you guys :D This year this was by far the most complicated coverage I did :D let's say the worst I ever did, period :D
Imagine, tons of cars, maybe 1000. You have to pick the good ones, it is pretty cold, you have no jacket because you are an ass :D your pullover can't really be exposed to heavy rain, you have your camera, your tripod and an umbrella. You still have 2 hands like everybody else and there is lot of ppl despite the weather... add to this the fact I couldn't stay more than 3 hours :bah: but it was fun :!: :D

I know exactly, how you felt taking these pictures, bending down with an umbrella clamped between your legs, trying to keep the camera under the umbrella... raining like hell...

some of my pictures from the BritishClassicCarMeeting (only RR, Bentley, Austin-Healey, Jag and AM) are also taken in the rain, see example

they are still waiting to be processed (~400pics)

comments to your pics later ....

BTW, british cars on british weather...

Also the first thing I thought about, when reading this topic :D

Lots of nice pics, but I am missing more recent british sports cars like Noble and even recent Astons like DB7, DB9, Vanquish etc. However there were lots of nice cars over there. And a 340R in the rain with a lady behind the wheel :o

-the Alvis is new to me
-for all the convertable cars, Catherham, the 340R (rare!!),... must have hate the rain

-E-type flooding , didn't saw a racer at St.Moritz BCCM
-I'm not a big fan of the Elises, but the line-up is great
-Tuscan and Aero(, cool!

...

Thanks for the effort then  and to be honest, with cold and rain... and without jacket, I would give up after just 30 minutes

Hehe, if I wouldn't have a website to keep alive I think a warm bed would have been a much better option than beeing under the rain at 9 am on a Saturday :D

Indeed, considering how many modern Aston there are in the region, it was weird not to see them there. Basically the even is mainly for oldies, with modern cars beeing sort of a bonus.. maybe that's why :bah:

That Elise is sex on wheels IMO, the color suits it sooo well! Maybe in isolation it isn't that impressive, but when you put it between other cars, WHOA! it is stunnign and even yellow cars look plain boring! Amazing!

Nice.... classic cars ain't my thing really, but the Jags look great 8)

The V8 Vantage is a real beast of a car, and the 340R damn rare  What did she do when it rained?

DB6 is my fave car in the set, but the Aero 8 still looks great (real shame about the rain) :D

Thanks again, TT, for providing me with more desktop pics than i can cope with in a month!

British cars in a typical British weather

The rain droplets on the cars make the pics look cool. Though the rain droplet on your lens wasn't cool :D Seeing a 340R on the streets is rare, seeing it driven by a girl is even more rare, and seeing it being driven by a woman with 'semi-slicks' in the rain is a chance of a lifetime :P

And the TVR's look damn hot as well! Thanks for the coverage, and next time take a jacket with you to a British car meeting. You know those cars attract rain

Fantastic stuff at that meet, TT. :D A lot of cars that you (yes, even you  ) won't see in the streets often. My favourites are the V8 Vantage, the DB6, the classic Esprits, the McLaren and the Griffith. I think that car is so incredibly gorgeous!

The purple XJS shooting brake
Morges, reminds me of a holiday with my parents to Switzerland when I was a little boy. We visited the castle there.
