eh we had that here years ago, the police decided an escort cosworth and then later an impreza were ideal for catching car thiefs, especailly when fitted with group a works suspension !

It does make sense to have a car like that in Colorado. High speed capability when you need it in the warmer months, and all wheel drive tractability when it snows. I hope the people that are driving these cars get some type of specialized training, I bet you these cars can bite you when they are in hot pursuit, especially when it's snowing out.

Not so riced.. it's bone stock outisde :D

Our police has some E39 M5 for the highway, but they are "stealth", w/o police signs :) just used to follow you and record your speed :)

you should go and find one and listen to it. l love their boxer engine, i don't know any other japanese car that makes that kind of rumble noise. similar to what a V8 makes.

i don't know aboiut the sti being ricey...in vanocuer they have camaro cop cars, so does that mean that we have white-trash cop cars? no, its for the same reason they use the sti, it fits the job description well, thats all

Thats pretty cool, but nto for theifs and speeders! LOL

We have some cool Police cars here. I've seen Camaro's, Corvettes, Mustangs and even a few Vipers.
In my town, they have a Blazer thats lifted about 6 inches with giant tires to catch the guys that go offroading where they aren't supposed too.

In Germany Special Police Forces GSG 9 use Evo VI to keep up with the terrorists. We have a M3 and a 911 police car to keep track on the Autobahn.

hah like the R34 pic. i always thought of japanese cops as wimps in slow cars, i take that back !!! the car at least. But the colors is still a joke.

qld got some WRX's as cop cars, they lasted 2 months before the untrained dick cheese cops wrote them off..poor cars. guess it was a big step up from there piece of shit commodores
