yeah im also curious if there is a way other than waiting. maybe if you go to Italy?

and wait some more

Believe it or not, ferrari don't have a stock pile of cars for people to come and choose from. They allocate as many cars as they want to build in a certain time, and no more :)

Be very famous and willing to plug the car at any opportunity :P But seriously supply and demand dictates, simple as that. I highly doubt 99.9% of people could turn up and get one quickly without paying a premium unless they actually are Michael Schumacher :P

Do you mind telling me who on earth would buy a 17yo an F430, or now a 997? :?

If its your dad then I would consider him highly irresponsible.....

997s are great cars... but unless in GT3 form... not a good comparison

first, i met a brain surgeon at a Ferrari future F430 owners dinner a while back, and (drunk off his ass!) was asking me what i liked...

first, he said he couldn't justify paying 50,000 over MSRP, so his was ordered, and scheduled to arrive in feb. or march of 2006. he has MSRP through the dealer. only an IDIOT would pay 250,000+ for the F430

second, he asked what color i would get, which i obliged, and said black. he has had yellow ferraries, but he really liked black, and agreed.

then he asked if his 17 yr old son would get laid if he took the F430 to prom; which i responded "if he doesnt, he surely has other problems"

all in all, a cool totally drunk do0d

but the car wasnt for his son... that would be foolish

The father of a guy I knew at my high school let his 17 year old son take his 997 S to Prom. That was good for him, I had a limo and a shitty party to go to...:(

But remember, you shouldn't need a car to get laid...
