Read before you say "Google"
I have 2 images which is of the same program. Now i need a burning app for dual layered discs, that will copy one image to 'layer 0' and the other to 'layer 1'. i can't burn it as one image because i don't want either image to overlap.
Now i have tried Google with some keywords but nothing is coming up. I'm not even sure if it exists. But if someone knows something, please tell!
thanks

the two layers are still just one side... my recomendation is either 2 discs or a 2 sided disc.

i know that. we're trialling DL discs but that slight pause in the layer change is causing problems. don't know why but it is
What authoring software are you currently using?
Are you making a DL video DVD or trying to simply store data on the disc?
Parallel track will always a pause as the laser refocuses and repositions, while opposite track burning, if split in the middle allows for a relatively pause-proof gap.
DL supporting author software will incorporate the track type and split options in the menu interface.

I'm using nero and i'm storing data on it
i'll look around nero for something similar
Hmmm... so Nero does not natively support DL then?

nero works with DL discs, i know that. its our program having probelms reading it. the program normally reads data off the HD but some ppl want them on discs now. everytime it reaches the layer change the program hangs. our programmer has no idea why and doesn't have the time to change the program. so i was wondering if we can place the data in different layerrs without overlapping.
ts no big deal though, we'll just have to give them single layered discs until the problem can be solved.

perhaps burning blocks of empty tracks around the overlap? i havent heard of ways to just skip from one layer to the next in particular... so 30 seconds of some .wav file thats useless except preventing the hang :?:
Good lord.. what sort of applicaiotn programmer is so innefficient that the code of just the applicaiton takes more than 4.7GB? ;)
Have you tried opposite track burning?
