My Bro crashed Really bad!! **Pics**

hey,
well last saturday my bro crashed...
it was rainin at about 3 p.m. and he just dropped me off somewhere and on his way back apparently he lost control somehow and hit somehting, im guessing some kind of fence..., he doesnt remember anything at all, at least thats what he sais...
anyways he was life-flighted to the houston hospital to b cheked and hes al right, btw the car is another story...
too bad he didnt learn his lesson, my bro is ust like that, he will never learn... i think this wa a good warning sign to drive slower but not for him... too bad... oh and he jsut got his car that last Thursday, from the shop fixin it from the last minor crash...

as u can c the driver side didnt get any damage.... but if i were still in the car i would have been hit hard... thank god i wasnt..

oh and he had put some aftermarket stuff like, cold air intake (seen in one pic), spacer, and he had an aftermarket exaust in the garage but now useless..., and from the outide he had the cobra r front spoiler thing, and the front fenders (a little wider)

Not thinking that american cars have the steering wheel on the left side of the car, I was wondering how you brother was not hurt. So thank god its the passenger side that took all the damage cuz the car looks demolished. Looks like he simply spun into a ditch and fence off a wet road. I am also guessing he had the T/C turned off ;)

well sorry 4 not replyin earlier but i was in san antonio because of Rita (hurricane), so i coudnt reply...
and well latelly my bro has been driving slower but thats just with me in the car, but i dont know if he actually learned...
and the airbags didnt go off, so he is going to investigate why, and if they should have, he could sue this place, because he was in an accident a little before this ccident and they replaced the airbags, obviouslly not right, im no expert but i think the airbags were supposed to go off... it is after all a "frontal crash" u could say...
and as RC said i think he hit a ditch or somehting, but yea it was wet so he probably used to much trottle...

I hope he gets ZERO dollars suing anyone for the airbags not going off. I am all for someone getting paid out, but I am 10000% against insurance fraud and wanton frivolous lawsuits.

If the airbags went off, would he have been less injured? How injured is he?

The airbags are a suplimental system.

A car sliding sideways into a ditch would not set the airbags off.

It's a 2003 - $17K if you are lucky.

My friend is like your brother. Last summer we were going on a trip with his '95 VR6 Vento(Jetta). We were not going that fast, about 80-90 km/h. (Days before he was doung over 1000 km between 100-200 km/h, and the tires were worn.) We lost control and hit a pole. I was sitting behind him and the pole hit us right where i was sitting. I'm thanking God I didn't have a serious injury. I stayed 2.5 days in a hospital and 1.5 weeks at home. The accident was his fault, not because he didn't drive safely but because he didn't change the tires. The car was fixed, and on dec.31 (!) he crashed again, luckily I was in another car. He lost grip i a curve and had a frontal crash. I saw this from the other car. It was shocking to me. He and his passengers were lucky, no serious injuries, but the car was damaged hard.
I can't understand these guys, he doesn't learn neither. He's driving quite fast and irresponsible after 2 crashes. Anyway, I'm happy nobody's hurt.

well yea the other crash he had wasnt bad at all, he just didnt get to brake on time (cause he was distracted) and he hit the car barely on the corner, liek at 20 or 30 mph... they just changed the front spoiler and fender...
and about the airbag thing, its not the insirance what we would sue RC... its the shop that changed it cause the other crash wasnt reported to the insurance because it was a small crash and it wasnt worth getting the insurance any higher and stuff like that...

RC= he sint injured very bad... his back hurts, and a couple or scraches but thats about it...
and about the airbag going out i do think the airbags should have gone out... just look at the crash... and it was partly frontal partly side, it wasnt completelly "sideways"...... but im no expert so i dont know.
the insirance is under my dad i think...
and 17 for it... i think its alot rc, cause thats about what we paid for it, he bought it with about 5k on it or somehting i think.
ahh and i dont even know if they r gonna sue, they r just getting thigs straight, and if they sue its not because extra money jsut because their job failed...(shop)
and well as ^^ these kind of people ont change very easy... but thers still hope...
