I am looking for a programm designed to rename pictures. As you all must know, when you have a few hundred pics, you might want to rename it so all the same cars have the same name, followed by a number. Is there any programm that does it by it self?

(I know, I'm lazy, but I really don't want to do it all by myself)

Photoshop CS has a batch rename function which i used a while ago.

Although, the programme isn't free :|

Before too many people start thinking about that, I am thinking about a programm that would see the files I select, and rename them at once (or in one step if you prefer) with a single difference in the name, an number

Yup... Photoshop allows this

All files in one directory, batch rename, with a prefix, and a suffix

ie. Lamborghini_Gallardo_XXXX.jpg

works great, and quick too :D

:D It works :D

I realised that I already have ACDSee on my PC, but I had it with an old camera, and I never thought it had any good options with it. So now I guess it will be running for some time to rename all my old pics :)

Also, I nearly forgot to thank you all for your helphttp://yelims5.free.fr/TopOuNul/Super10.gif

Windows XP does it for you... select all of the images then right click on the 1st (while all files are selected) and click RENAME. Name the file "Anything (1)" so now all the files will be called Anything plus the (1) (2) (3) etc etc...
