as the topic says does anyone know the cost? i'm wanting to get a book from italy which is about 1 kilogram/2.2 pounds by air to australia.

a few friends have actually sent a photo of michael schumacher to ferrari with some money to send the photo back. in the end they get his autograph. i want to do the same but this time with one of his biographies. so i just need to know roughly how much money i should give ferrari to get the book back to me.

I can tell you how much I'd pay to send such package from Switzerland to Australia, but I'm pretty sure in Italy is a little more expensive..
For insured airmail and 1 kg I'd pay 39 CHF / 51 AUD (but it become 54 AUD if the weight is 1001 grams)

BTW Fabio, I know I'm an hassle, but since you'll be at a post office, can you maybe find out "circa" how much can be to send a couple of calendars from Italy to Switzerland? A friend of mine bought a couple of them for me.. he tried to find out but discovered you have to go to the postal office to have the value.. so I want to make him a surprise :P
Only if you can of course, anyway he will have to go himself too :P
