These are some of the cars I drove in the past two months. Some are nice, others not so much. I tried to write a bit about every car for you to try to get how I felt driving them. Hope you like it.

A car. A chevrolet  I really have nothing to say about this car. Nicel colour ............maybe.

Audi A3, nice car, great quality but the car is just plain boring. I wanted to like the car, but even with using best materials and doing a very good job puting the switches where they're suppost to be and all the other stuff, it didn't make me smile. The ride is good, composed, steering could be more direct.

Oh, I just can't get enough of Alfa's. Any Alfa Romeo will do. The styling suits me perfect. This car had a 1,6 petrol engine. Not much but if you don't have racing aspirations, it's enough. The only problem and that was a big problem was the gear stick. The thing danced around like, like, well, something that moves too damn much!!! When I had it in gear, any gear, it still had like 4 cm of free space to move. I am not kidding here. It felt soft and uncontrolable. I hated it. Quick gearchanges are impossible. This was never the care with any of the newer alfas I drove. The diesel 110hp or so was another story. But this one made me want to cry :(

This colour fits the car very much.

I don't have a liscense bor bikes, but I still gave it a go with this Honda 500 cbf. Nice bike, pulls strong, but then again, every bike that is above 50ccm pulls strong imo  , so I can't tell you much about this thing. Now that I've tried it, I feel sorry for myself for not trying to drive the 3 Ducatis we had on test during the summer :?

Mazda 6, the facelifted one. Nice car, good drive. I was on the European launch and boy do they take good care of motoring journalists. They took us to the west coast of italy, near Pisa, where we stayed in a 5 star hotel.
This happened 3 months ago, and I'll make a special thread about that. It was amazing. But for now, just a few pics of the car taken here in Ljubljana.

http://img226.imageshack.us/img226/8347/m16ru.th.jpg (http://img226.imageshack.us/my.php?image=m16ru.jpg) http://img226.imageshack.us/img226/1263/picture0081xf.th.jpg (http://img226.imageshack.us/my.php?image=picture0081xf.jpg) http://img226.imageshack.us/img226/9869/m39ry.th.jpg (http://img226.imageshack.us/my.php?image=m39ry.jpg)

The new Seat Leon. Great hard, sporty ride. The steering could be a little more comunicative, but I'm sure they're saving all the neat stuff for the Cupra models. This car had a 140hp diesel engine. Pulls strong and is refined at the same time. The interior will take some getting used to. The not so symetrical central console is not exactly an eye candy, but if you wan't special and out of the oirdinary, well, then this it the car for you. It feels like a Volkswagen but looks totaly Seat and drives to. I like it very much. Big effort was made in the styling department and that will show, when anytime you look up, you'll see one of these just coming down the street. Seat wen't for sporty and they sure got it right.

Ok, now it's time for something different.

Sea Doo Sportster. Little less than 5m long, 660kg light, 215hp. A recepy for 100% pure fun. It can reach ( calm sea ) a little iver 80km/h. If there are any waves you can forget about that number. But...........it's much more fun to jump from wave to wave. Because the mag I work for also features boats , well, just one per mag actualy, we got this baby for a few days. So I spent one september weekend with this baby. It's mad, how high it jumps out of the water. What you see on the pics is NOTHING. We wen't out on 1m wawes and the amout of air that gathered underneath the boat, well, let's just say a normally grown seven year old kid yould extend his arms and tickle the belly of the beast of he was standing underneath it. I trully felt scared at times, strongly feeling that this thing should have seatbelats and helmets as standard equiptment. It also turns very good, but when you have the waves to play with, well, straight line and catching those waves was the only thing on my mind.

Last but not least Maserati Coupe Cambiocorsa. The first time I drove it, I didn't have much time to relax and really enjoy the Maser. This time, we got this beautifull black baby on test for one week. And I got it for one day. That engine, that sound, those turning heads in the city, often attached to beautifull girls
I love this car. Sure it has Many faults, but they seem to be invisible to my eyes. I didn't even try to find them. The gearbox could be MUCH better, the shifts are slow, but I forgot about all of that and the body roll when cruising all around ljubljana and the freeway. Got up to 270, but allways got traffic geting in my way, so 285 was not reachable. I really couldn't care less. Great car, even greater soul and that negine note should be kept behind bars.

Any by the way, I needed a new maser so I could change my sig pic.

Here are some pics, most taken by me.

I didn't like the Mazda that much. I just said it drives well.

About the Audi. It has all the right thing's a car has to have to make it. And it will/did make it, I jus't didn't feel anything driving it. Plain, boring I think it's the Audi I dislike the most. The A8 was great, the A6 not bad also, TT great car, A3, well let's just say it is very forgetable.

I really like this kind of topic of yours Cyril! A condensate of what you experienced lately, very nice, your pictures are always top nothc, good quality, good angles, great locations! Can't ask for more, really!
Thanks a lot for the effort despite the lack of time!

BTW, I am working on a 4200GT "in depth" special. Had you in mind since I first got in touch with the owner. What about a grey one with carbon bonnet (of course not painted) and Gransport wheels (Gunmetal I think)? Could become a reality in the next couple of weeks ;)

I can second his opinion, it really his a pure Audi and I am talking about what we dont' like in modern era "basic" models... booring steering, boring engines, boring performance...
I got a 2.0 petrol one last year to go to Paris and come back and I really regret to have left my BM home :bah:
It has no carachter whatsoever

Thx for the compliments Matteo. I'm glad you like my reports. 8)

It's easier for me to post a topic of cars I drove every month or so. Saves time. Btw, I have a few things stacked up, including a few nice sightings, but as I've said a couple of times: My work can be very time consuming, so I had to cut back on the car hunting and stuff, but then again I drive more new cars than I could ever imagine.....I write tests, take photos. I've now gotten to about 3-4 test's per mag on average,+ a long F1 report of every race in every issue , I also take photos for 5 to 6 cars per mag. I can choose my own locations, often near the place I live, so I can promote the really small town of about 300 people. And that in a mag that has about 11 test's per issue. I'm happy with that.

The 4200 sounds VERY nice :D
I hope you get that "in depth" soon 8) Man, can I assure you, that you'll love that deep V8 rumble. I can't wait. I hope everything goes like planed.
Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the reviews Cyril! :D Have I ever told you that I envy you so much? :D You have a GREAT job dude! :D

I have a friend who is buying an Audi A3 next month... I'll show him your impressions before! :D I told him to buy a Leon instead... but doesn't like it :?

The pics of the Maser are great! BTW, which is the speed limit in Slovenia? If police caught you speeding, who pays? the mag? :D

BTW, can't wait to see TT's Maser... grey, CF bonet, Tubi, GrandSport wheels...

Well, the A3 is a very good car, but the Leon has much more soul. I'd go for Leon. People don't like it that much, and frankly it doesn't have the name and reputation that Audi has. Too bad. It's a very solid car. Cheaper and the materials used in the interior are almost the same quality that Audi offers. All in all, I'd go for the Seat, hands down.
If somebody realy want's to go for the A3, must be in love with the badge or reeeeeaaaaally love the Audi brand.

The speed limi in SLO is 130 on the highway. I'd pay

@dingo and @goodduck_: thx 8)

Well, that Chevy realy is a piece of work

Thanks for these little reports, Cyril. They are short, but contain all the important info you need.

The little speed boast must be great fun. I really like the pics of it when it completely jumps out of the water. Great you met your love, the Maser Coupe, though in 4200 version, again! I really love the pics of it, specially the detailed ones.

I agree with you on the A3, it's just too boring, same as a standard VW Golf. Not my cup of, tea, though I love the Golf V GTI on the other hand.

I don't know if you know, but I put a vid in the valut a long time ago, a small compilation of the maser footage I had for a testdrive last winter.

it's taped going 280

the Audi A3 is that boring?

I can second his opinion, it really his a pure Audi and I am talking about what we dont' like in modern era "basic" models... booring steering, boring engines, boring performance...
I got a 2.0 petrol one last year to go to Paris and come back and I really regret to have left my BM home :bah:
It has no carachter whatsoever
yeah i drove my friends 1993 BMW 325i and i can see why you got those speeding tickets

The new Seat Leon that you have tested looks very cool. It's sad that Seat cars are not sold in Canada. I'm sure it could do it via VW dealers and a little bit of will.

About the Sea Doo Sportster, this Sportboats built by Bombardier just like Watercraft and Snowmobiles for winter are create and built in Québec. The people in Québec are so proud of these products that you can find such a machines everywhere in my province and in the ROC (Rest of Canada). :P
