p.s. i have a athlon 800,256mb ram,geforce ti4200 card... but the game runs pretty slow ( really have to minimize the details) .. im thinking of changing my processor. does anyone know what is the best bang for the buck ? is it worth getting a 3Ghz intel or is a 2700 ahtlon just as good?i really dont know too much about this stuff.....demon, thanks again !!

for some reason, nfs underground does not need too much of graphics card. I play at 1280 resolution in my LAPTOP. I get great framerate and i have a gf4 128ddr in my laptop with p4 1.8mhz and the game runs perfect. I think it is that the game takes great advantage from the directx 9 engine.

yes, it is true that this is hard to find, but JW has taught me. I NEVER share lol. My kazaa folder is empty exept for the dloads I currently have... If JW has changed me, I am sure it has plenty others!

to install you dont have to burn, but to play you do. You need CD2 to play the game even after the crack. So yes, you will have to get blank cd's but hmm its .50$ each isnt it?

use NERO to read the .cue they are an IMAGE file. You load up the image file using nero or any other burning tool and then burn.

CD1 contains a folder called CRACK you must replace the "speed.exe" in there with the original after installation

dude, i think what DeMoN was getting at was that he was hoping that only the dedicated JW forums members would have access to that. He has a limited amount of bandwidth, and wants to share his stuff with only the JW people. To find the username and password, you're gonna have to look for it, and he gave a hint or two in the previous pages. So read up, and good luck finding the info 8)

My bandwidth is very limited and it is about to be reached, I cant share much longer. You should start posting and participating more.

If you DONT know where to get the passwd and login name, then you should probably try the TORRENT link given by alien8er 9 posts, man and you have the balls to request people to upload? upload more than 500MB? shiittt it took me almost an hour to upload cd2 and I uploaded at 1500 kb per second.

To anyone who comes in here begging for links, I don't think Demon could have made it any simpler. I mean really, take like 5 minutes to acquaint yourself with the forums and do a little reading for God's sake. When someone's giving you a huge gift you don't go and ask them to do all the bitch work for you. Really, it's just common courtesy.

(Sorry to be grumpy about it everyone, but it honestly took me < 2 mins to find the log/pass, and I already had CD1 from BT. I just don't understand some people... :shock:)

BTW, an update: I've got my Miata up and running and have finished 12 of something like 111 events in Underground mode. Game seems pretty solid, although I hate how when you're in the lead traffic suddenly becomes far more dangerous--very frustrating!! I've also found that the drift event is a super easy way to build up style points in the quick race section, so if you're looking to unlock all the stickers etc. that's where to go (of course EVERYONE loves stickers ;)). Anyone know approximately when I will be able to trade my crap Miata in for something like an EVO or an FD?

Here's my review for NFS underground:

As far as graphics go,car reflections (both on the road and on the cars themselves) are very, very nice, the best in any game yet. The car models themselves are also well done, and are quite detailed. Graphics are good, and since the whole thing is at night for the most part it covers up a lot fo detailing that you normally would see.

Music is pretty good. Good mix of tracks, though a lot of rap/hiphop,which i dont mind.

No damage modelling whatsoever. You can wipe out straight into a concrete pylon at 150mph and you're car will not even get a scratch. Further, it will also probably just stop. Then again. THIS IS ARCADE based racin game, those out there seeking a simulaton style game will not be happy. The game is meant to be fun , if you want a simulation based game, get a real car!

Bottom line,sense of speed is good. Races are pretty intense, and even fun at times. THe tuning aspect of the game is quite immersive too and adds more to the game. Overall, 8/10 !!! thats my two cents. :D

Neons add an annoying amount of "reputation" to your car so forgoing them kinda sucks. I've tried to remain as tasteful as possible--the simplest body mods along with white underglow etc. Kinda works but looks like it will ultimately fail with the higher point visual add-ons.

just gas it thru the turns..if it isnt drifting tap the e-brake (shift). to get a chain going start drifting w/ full throttle, apply opposite lock let off gas and the tail will swing the other way

I got the game from a different source on Thursday and I’ve played it almost to the end.

The most annoying thing about it is the catch up system on the computer cars. If you build up a lead they catch you up, even when you’re doing over 180mph, they go round corners faster than you can and it makes the later levels impossible.

All of the tracks are based in the dark around one city with different openings closed or open making for a very boring repetitive game

Another annoying thing is that the cars performance levels get silly. I started off with a Mazda MX5 and due to mods it wasn’t until the Skyline and S2000 became available that the cars started to reach the same performance level.

A good game but it could have been much better

No real difference between cars.

I hate this friggin game. Today was the second time I played it and Im at level 35, and I'm never playing it again. I sat down to play at 4 and now it's 7 and these three hours were a waist of time! The cars dont change performance...i went through 5 or 6 of them and they are all the same.

The levels are getting just plain boring. Same shit, but different amounts of laps.....

Nothing will beat NFS Porshce Unleashed...That was an amazing game. With some very hard levels. I wish I could play it again, but I seem to get problems with my installation all the time....have to try again.

Just finished the game, and well im gettin mixed feelings about it. Quite a few of the races got me really frustrated, cause i kept on doin really well, then this one car comes outta nowhere and kills me...

It was fairly well executed, although it would be nice if the lesser cars (206, Civic, Celica, etc.) wouldnt be able to compete with the amazing ones (Skyline, Supra, RX7, etc.), and if the mods would make a more noticeable difference in the car's performance...it seems as though they dont do much cause the comp upgrades about the same as you do.

One thing that managed to confuse me as well as tick me off a bit, is the fact that you can't do anything with ur car once you've finished the game :roll: Like, when you've done all the races, and beat the Z at the end, it says that you have completed all the races and that everything's unlocked now, but you can't customize your now fully-upgraded and amazing car...go figure

Graphics: wow...simply wow :shock: easily the best graphics of any car game i've ever played or seen. I have a P4 1.5 @ 1.8 (468mhz FSB), 512 megs of PC2100 DDR ram, and a Radeon 8500 (slightly overclocked), and im running the game at 1024x768, with only some of the details on/maxed...a very graphics-intensive game, i'd say.

Sound/Music: Much better than Hot Pursuit 2 (...not too hard to do that), but could still be improved upon. The cars' engine sounds were okay, but they should have had more sounds...like there's one sound for the 4-bangers, one for some of the V6s, and one for some others. The music, I think, was fairly well put-together, and there's a decent variety of songs. It would have been nice, however, to do the GTA3 Vice City and be able to put in your own MP3s.

Oh, another critical thing that they didn't include is power ratings!!! That's one thing that I'm sure a LOT of people were hoping for, and they didn't put it in. It would have been really nice to see dyno power ratings and/or engine power ratings, cuz you would have actually been able to see your car improve as you progress through the races.

cd1 has a crack, there is a folder there which has a file you have to replace with the original. you then need cd2 to play.

yah any thing about drifting im about me and my roomates have drift wars with everything we have pro rc cars and we goto the post office and see who can drift the best :D soon it will be real cars onlything stoping is cant find a place todo it and also when i get my car (vr4) i wont be able to drift cause of the awd
