This was my first and it will probably be a while until I go there again. I got the offer from my boss to attend some business curtesey visits at local shipyards and factories. We caught a flight from Copenhagen in the evening, and 10hrs later i woke up in Shanghai. Then it was a 3hour drive to Jiangyin. A small city in China, but BIG to me. About 4million people live in the city and surrounding area. After all the dinners and visits to shipyards we went to Quingdao and then to Beijing for a couple days for relaxing and sightseeing. First we went to the Great Wall. According to Mao, you are not a real man until you climb a mountain on the great wall. So we did..... in 34degrees C and very high humidity. Luckily for us some wind came on the way uphill. After we climbed the mountain, appx 400 vertical meters from start, we wnt on to the "Summer Palace" Day after we went to see "The Forbidden City" residence of the emperors, and "Tian'ammon Square" where the famous picture of the student infront of the tank is taken. You are not allowed inside any of the buildings, and that was a bit of a down, but the folder you get gives you the best pictures anyway. It was the same story in the Summer palace. So only exterior pics.

Also saw a lot of strange cars. I'm posting a picture under of a car I could'nt quite figure out. It is a E-Class mercedes, white, with black carbonfibre roof. There were some Chinese letters on the back, but nothing more. Owner got a bit angry with me when I took the first pic, so sorry no pic from the back. Looked like a standard AMG with quad exhaust. It was also sitting pretty low with 19' OZ rims. Picture below.

In China, most of the lorrys have crappy brakes, so they build "uphill run offs" from the downhill road. Also equipped with a water hose

Our guide's car, Chinese made Mazda 323. Shorter wheelbase and seriously crappy suspention. BTW good suspention is not normal in China

Thanks Skaala

Did you know what the guy with the white Mercedes was saying to you when you took the pictures or did you not have your translator with you at that time?

I am just interested to know why he got angry. Maybe it's a cultural thing but none of the other passers-by in the photos you took seem to be glaring at you angrily? :?
