Well, I have a question, it's in the title. Computers and I are not friends. I downloaded a .tar file, and I was wondering what program/codec I need to play the video? Realplayerk, Quicktime, WMP, none of them play it. If any of you know, it'd be great. Thanks.

Well it was the right type of file now I'm having trouble playing the extracted files. There are 48 of them. It lists them as winrar files themselves...Thanks for your help though.

It's a three minute blank screen...I hate that. Thanks for lending a hand though.

really, the UX famlies are everywhere, and are either very very helpful, or condicending :?
.tar and .gz are the main meathods of zipping a file in shell, or in the GUI of choice...

any questions will lead to further answers, or just more confusion at www.sourceforge.net
