Records, albums,cd's. I know them as records and albums like old vynils Now to answer, please :D

1- Which was the first record/album/cd that you listened?
I'm sure it was something from Pink Floyd, and could have been The Wall. My dad used to listen to them very often and now I do it.

2- The first record that you bought?
a cassette from a spanish poprock group, Hombres G (G men, very gay isn't it?) Sorry, I was a 7 years-old kid and I wanted to listen to a "nasty" song :P

3- The first record you envied someone because you didn't have it?
Beatles's white album in cd. It was a new technology here in mexico when only posers and rich ppl could afford cd players.

4- You favorite record for driving?
Jane's Addiction, Ritual de lo Habitual. I love that album, first because the sensations it brings when driving fast, and second isn't as stressing as other groups while being stuck in traffic

5- Which is the record that brings you the best memories?
Almost anything from the argentinians of Soda Stereo. Since my childhood until now I still like them very much. The first girlfriend, the first drunk party, first night out, the best friends.

6- The most shameful record in your collection?
2 from Hombres G (G-ay men :P)

7- The record that you lost and regret it the most?
A clockwork orange OST in cd. Walter Carlos was the composer of that masterpiece. I still have it on vynil, but it's very scratched (some asshole played like a DJ with my record :?

8- Which is the newest record in your collection?
Queen: Jazz. A japanese special Edition

9- The most influential record of your life?
The Wall, from the masters of Pink Floyd. Why? could be because I saw the film very young

10- The one you prefer while making love/ having sex?
Don't have a number one because my ex and current gf always choose a different record each time. And I like more the natural soundtrack of that session  Sometimes The Doors are an excellent choice.

11- Which one would you like to have it played in your funeral?
An American Prayer by Morrison. With that record nobody will remember that I'm dead :P

12- The five you would take to a desert island. Please don't answer with: I'd take my ipod

Beatles's Sgt's pepper;
a very best collection of The Doors,
Faith no More: The real thing
Pink Floyd.... don't know, could be Animals or Meddle,
and something of heavy metal, speed metal or trash metal

It will be very interesting to read your choices :)

Good thread Antonio

1- Which was the first record/album/cd that you listened?

I started listening to music in 1979 so anything that was in the charts at the time really.

Another Brick in the Wall (Floyd), Hit me with your Rhythm Stick (Ian Dury) and Mull of Kintyre (Wings) all stick in my mind.

2- The first record that you bought?

Another Brick in the Wall vinyl single purchased for me by my mother. I don't actually clearly remember the first I bought with my own money however I suspect it was an Elvis LP with some birthday or christmas money.

3- The first record you envied someone because you didn't have it?
Pink Floyd the Wall double CD and Alchemy Live Dire Straits double CD. I couldn't afford GBP25 for double CDs at the time.

4- You favorite record for driving?
Groove - slowish dance music / uptempo ambient/chillout.

5- Which is the record that brings you the best memories?
So many records have something associated with them for me this is a difficult question. A lot do, for various reasons.

6- The most shameful record in your collection?
S Club 7: S Club Party (their debut single)

7- The record that you lost and regret it the most?
I've been quite lucky in this respect. I lost a B52s tape on a coach once but I have the same album on CD now.

8- Which is the newest record in your collection?

Most recently purchased? Bent - The Everlasting Blink

9- The most influential record of your life?

Difficult question, that one. There are quite a few which mark certain transitions for me, usually opening up my tastes to a different style of music. My tastes have gone from pop to rock to metal to indie to dance to groove over the past 16 or so years. Just because you move in your tastes doesn't mean you stop liking the other genres.

Ones that stick out are hearing Voodoo Ray for the first time when I was about 13 and knowing dance music was for me.

10- The one you prefer while making love/ having sex?
No particular CD but nothing really cheesy of course.

11- Which one would you like to have it played in your funeral?
Not sure to be honest!

12- The five you would take to a desert island. Please don't answer with: I'd take my ipod

1. Orbital - Work
2. My own mix of the best tracks by Bent, Groove Armada and Thievery Corporation
3. Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
4. Nicholas Matar - Tropicalism
5. My own mix of pop and rock / indie - mostly stuff to sing along to. This one might have to be in MP3 format (bending the rules a bit I know)
