You talking about force feedback?

The wheel is supposed to move on it's own - that is the simulaiton of the fores that are generated in real life.

That's why you spent all the time and money trying to source the wheel... right ? ;)

maybe he just wanted the simulation of the wheel itself with the peddles?

sorry to say digo but... you can't turn it off. If you really want to turn it off... you could take apart your wheel and disconect your servo motor. assuming it isn't the degree detection device as well.

that would turn off the force feed back.

?

If you didn't want the force of the force feedback, then you could have just bought a $12 generic WildCatz wheel.

No.

That is the ENTIRE point of the force feedback hardware and the programming of the force feedback API in the first place.

The steering wheel has an electric motor geared to the streeting shaft - this electric motor will alternatively assist and counter your input to simulate the feedback you get from a real car through the front wheels and steering system.

If you don't want the force feedback buy a NON FORCE FEEDBACK wheel.

YES.

Get a screw driver, open the whell .... take out the force feedback motors and limitors and you are done. And when it's all done, get it all back togather.

What a stupid idea.

You pay for a force feedbakc wheel then fuck it up?

I guess youhave money coming out of your arse?

Sell the wheel and buy a non-force feedback wheel for a lot less money.

This is a case of the blind leading the blind with an idea that borders on being dumber than a box of rocks.

lol RC ....
look at the bright side ... when he realises how usefull force feedback is .. he'll put everything back in .... :D .. lol

No - you are weird.

You ask us for advice for 6 months and search out and pay through your nose for a force feedback wheel - only you didn't want force feedback.. :|

That wont work. Because it wont center anymore, he will need some rubber bands on both sides or make a centering mechanism.
