well, my 2005 pontiac brochure says "summer 2005", but as i see it it'll be spring when it "really" comes out.

well almost all of them have already been spoken for so your best bet is to go to a dealer and if you really want one put your name on the list quick they are already producing them I think it was Gray or Nthfinity that lives near the plant they have a whole topic about here.

There will be a turbocharged version if 177hp isn't enough for you...though I can only imagine the premium that'll be put on them.

Do a search here as Ive discussed it already at length.. 177 were delivered at the begining of the month. They are made about 20 miles from my house. The 10000 people waiting list is expected to be filled by end of year, then new cars will be available.
A turbo charged version is rumoured in the works as an 07 model.
Current car is 2800 lbs with 177 hp.

I wondering what all of the enthusiasts who purchased the car initially are thinking. - Good things come to those who wait I suppose.

I can't wait to read the reviews with all of this extra power! Wonder if the 'sport suspension' is going to be a great deal more sporty than the standard solstice?

It's bad enough the car has design elements of the C6 - rumour is that GM is ging to name it Stingray.  :(

That's just screwed... like naming the big engine Boxster 911SC... this must never happen ;)

Damn that is heinous. I hope they have a fastback hardtop for it...

... and you even have accesories to 'imitate' the Z4 Coupe :P

Looks quite good to be honest!! :D

Yeah - it doesn't look bad... it's just they better position it correctly and not use our name.. :P

Probably be seeing that car a lot around here. You can put surfboards atop that thing.

^I certainly will, remembering they make them a few miles from my house.. I may have to participate in some local patronage if its as good as those specs appear.

You thinking about buying one Gray? I bet you that car is a blast to drive, and the Saturn version looks even better IMO. Too bad it's saddled with the 'Saturn' name.

^If the gxp lives up to the specs on this page.. Probably..
Ill be over 25 so my insurance will be lower, and Ill be looking for a new car in the next 2 years as my warrenty expires on the mazda.
Just about the right time for the car to be both on sale, and not require a scarcity premium.
Ya never know, something could come along I like better or I could get married (I'd have to actually go on a date for that to happen lol) and be required to buy a sedan by then, but right now the solstice is a favorite for title of my next car.

Remember - marriage is a partnership, get the partner to provide and drive the sedan :P

hahahah... I'll have to remember that one.

Either way Im not exerting any energy in finding a gf at the moment(I'm occupied in more rational pursuits..posting on jw, masters degree, job where I work way more hours then most people... notice the order ;) ) so it is fairly unlikely.
