Do any of u have a watch fetish? I wear a tag heuer Se/l link everyday and have a Breitling for special occasions. I wanted a Rolex, but was not impressed with their accuracy. My next aquisition will be an Omega broad arrow.. I like its simplicity and style..

I had a Rolex Submariner, then it got stolen, when my house got done over last year. Never quite recovered from that.......now have an Accurist lol. Think I might start looking for a nice watch after x-mas. The Submariner was a bit bulky IMO, I have quite slender wrists. I like really simple classy designs.
hehe, even found a pic:

Well - I have to say it - I will drop $50,000 on a car in a heart beat (and did) - but can not get myself past spending $20 max on a watch.. (actually $40 on the last one - one of those Microsoft Data watches - scanned data off the PC monitor - it died and I never replaced it - that was 5 years ago... LOL).. I am not into the whole "feminie" jewelry thing... ;)

Mihai, it took some swiss artisan 4-6 months to make that watch from select components, built it to the highest standards.. like the carrera GT of watches.. there is only a limited number made and that adds to the exclusivity... There are even more exotic swiss timepieces, if u search hard enough..

shit...thats a very sad story indeed....and very bad luck....sorry to hear that dude....
I was told by the Rolex agent that this watch was designed to live with you and will probably out last you...I must say I have smashed and knocked it into most things by accident (as you know they are chunky mothers) and nothing seems to scratch or damage it...I guess thats what your also paying for...durability.
my dad had an older rolex GMT...maybe about 30 years old now... he was playing tennis fell and chipped the face... he later found out that his watch was made before they introduced the crystal saphire face and had a plastic face instead...unfortunately they couldnt refit it w/ a saphire one and he didnt think it was worth it to get another plastic face so he just wore it w/ a big chunk missing  .....but then a patient gave him a new one(saphire face and all), pretty lucky huh?
i'll get a pic of the old watch when i go home for x-mas

Rolex are boring and cleche.
Just my opinion but if you have money to spend like that then a breitling is much nicer in any respect.
Rolex's only look nice in SS as the yellow gold is horribly ugly and very "pimp" style and platinum is just over priced for what you get.
scubywrxr

I dont thinK Rolex(exclusively) look ugly in yellow gold. I think gold is ugly but white gold is very bling bling and if you wanted you could pass it off as platinum as 99.9% can never tell.
But as for Rolex being cliche...i just think you can get far more for your money in a breitling. Have you seen their anniversary watch after Bentley won Leman. stunning.

Water resistant 100 m.I've had it nearly half my life, so it has all these scars all over it, and the paint is coming off; I can hardly see "mode" and the others have all been scratched off.
