I moved from South Africa thinking I had left terrorism behind - then they (yes they - self proclaimed ambassadors of the nation of Islam) flew airplanes into buildings in my adopted homeland.

Thousands of innocents (including many Europeans) died in those events. The same way I distrusted Cubans and Communist Chinese immigrants intentions when I lived in South Africa during the times of the Angola/Southwest African bush war... so am I distrustful of Arabians intentions in this new millennium - until proven otherwise.

Seems like many people have forgotten the events that changed the course of history on 9-11-2001.

Not to even mention that many people are unaware of what "urban violence", "civil unrest and "terrorism" really means - ask Scuby to tell you how bad it can sometimes be in South Africa...

9-11 was 2 horrible for me.. But I saw much more than u.. And I can say that I can imagine such things better than u.. I were livin with terror for many years.. When I turn on the Tv, at the beginin they we always sayin that some terrorists have attacked our soldiers.. After that they lost 20 ppl and our country losts 7 soldiers.. I was watchin this every night.. And this happend many years..
2 days ago u remember some fuckin terrorists have planted 2 bombs in the middle of Istanbul.. 20 ppl died 300 people seriously injured.. They did this action to Jevishs.. But our people had died.. I disagree completely with terrorists and the senseless killing of people.. the blacks here in SA had to endure years of oppression and massacre and thousands of innocent people died across the color lines... The "terrorists" of the past are now the leaders of our country... go figure.. Only recently, 1 year ago did the FBI remove the governing ANC party from its list of terror organisations. The strangest thing is that the tables have turned with the new terrorist group in SA, the Boeremag Afrikaner organisation, a group of white individuals keen on toppling the government and intending to run out all the Blacks and minorities (including Jews and Asians) through the major highway and freeway networks.. their trial is currently pending..

In the new democracy, unfortunately the doors of opportunity opened up to criminals as well and we are now under the oppression of these urban terrorists. I guess its not as bad as the USA though.. my friend in NY city sees more gunshots and stabs in one night in his ER than he ever did in one week back here in SA in Soweto 2 years ago(that hospital was in one of the most violent areas)..

Points taken and noted - no more generalizations - but at the same token I would expect people of Middle Eastern origin (and Cuban, and Red Chinese, and White Supremacists and Black Panthers etc) to work towards positively promoting a view distancing themselves from these actions - because if they don't denounce these terrorsit acts, I still reserve the right to tell them to their faces they are Terrorist sympathizers and deserve no rest from being hunted down like animals for the atrocities they promote..

And for the record - you may want to look up about a bomb blast in downtown Pretoria in the late 80s at a bus stop - killing and maiming hundreds - I walked through the aftermath of that killing field, body parts strewn all around, people dying and bleeding - so I know urban terrorisms ugly face all to well thank you very much.
