The article is complete crap:
First discrepencies.. first they say they filed the patent 2 months before apple.. Only thing is.. then they say they filed it over a year before and before the product was released:
microsoft snuck in to license technology the previous may
Thats also 6 months before release.

2) The first to invent gets the patent not the first to file in the US and you cant patent something thats already on the market.

3) the patent office doesnt rule on the type of things described.
