It's a sad sad day in computerland. No longer one of the final few on dial-up, I have made the step into DSL as my wife couldn't take it anymore.
On the brighter side of things, I can surf JW at home now. :D

I remember dial up we could stand it cause it was getting better and better plus the traffic yield was generally alot lower. I remember going from 9600 baud up to 14.4. Ahh yes the not so good old days lol.

I'm probably dating myself, but my first modem, for BBS access...was a 2400 baud unit. Anyone here use a 14.4 or 800 baud? :D

January 2000 : dial-up connexion at home
October 2004 : DSL finally came
4 terrible years at 56kbps and now a 2MB connexion so I really know what it's like :D
That makes me remember some quote "I'm going to start a band called Dial Up, and we are only going to play slow songs" 8)
had dialup for 3days and called up my cablecompany(RCN at the time) they had a tech at my house the next day installing the modem, almost fell off my chair downloading music off napster in 98 i believe
