I don't know guys, you don't want a president who has Wedding Crashers as his sons-in-law, do you? :D
...funny that he was running for presidency in the movie

You do know that the way actor ACTS in a movie is not real life - right?
You are aware actors ACT out a script - as in what they are doing is a scripted presentation that is refined and rehearsed until final shooting.
The fact that a person would even consider electing someone because of "how they acted" and not on the merits of the politics they entered the political arena on, says a lot about the depths to which the "other" group has stooped.

jesus, f-ing christ, calm down. yes, i am fully aware that movies are not real and he's just acting. i've also seen him talk outside of movies and find it funny. and yes, it would be total bullshit to vote for someone just based on acting and not on their political agenda. There's a little known word in the english language called "joking", I suggest you look it up sometime

Oh - I got the joke.
The facetious hyperbole was directed right back at the collective "you" - as we all know every joke has a foundation in some truth. :)

could be that he was refering to the manner in which he was portraying his acts. its not like human nature can be completly negated just because he is reciting a script.
either way. presidents are besically just that...actors putting on a show that is compiled by the "collective" of men that makes up a country.
you put a good face to a good script...
you have yourself a good president.

but it has been proven not to be true, as he himself has said that he has no part in it.

Im not so sure about that there capt crazy eyes. John Mccain has split the party in the past because of his views and still seems to. As we all know to win nomination you cant split a party with so vast and broad vantage points. Not to mention his age. As for hillary I have a hard time thinking she would be elected sure she wants it but I dont think the country wants her. Believe it or not hemi your still in the minority statistics wise in this country.

Keep dreaming and study the term “political machines”. McCain has done his job for the Republican Party as asked. He will be the 2008 Republican nominee. If you don’t understand that then give me a name of any other Republican that could possible beat McCain in the primaries?
John McCain most likely will be our next president.

Wow
How about Bill Frist? Know who that is? Something tells me he's slightly more likely to win nomination from the Grand Old Party  George Allen maybe? This is all moot anyway until next year, when fund raising starts. That's when the interesting stuff begins...If Cheney doesn't run that is

Bill Frist could never win a primary, ether could Cheney. Even among republicans these two are not very popular and would never be supported for a presidential run.. Plus you still don’t seem to understand the way things work here. Neither of these two would ever run against McCain in the first place. McCain has earned his run in 2008.

Yeah sure, the sitting Vice-President would NEVER win a primary
It's a moot point anyway, as he has said he's not running.
And yeah, the House Majority Leader would also NEVER win a primary. Never mind that he's about 20 years younger than McCain. Also keep in mind that McCain already lost a primary once. In the 5 years since all he's done is praise the man that beat him. He flips on issue's, he doesn't seem to have conviction, and he's unpopular within the base of the GOP.
Plus you still don’t seem to understand the way things work here.
Sure

global, I gotta side with pharzo.
Mccain is just as centerist as Bush, and the majority of the party is tired of centerists. They feel the leftys have gone so far off the peer they can run a more right wing member this time. Mccain isn't that guy.
Judging by the reactions of the died in the wool republicans in my family, Mccain wont be going anywhere.
