LOL, talk about abusing... of course it's nice to watch, but I don't stand ppl renting or testing a car that it's not their car and do that to it.. obviously they can't respect them IMO

Let me tell u guys a story about my dad and himteaching me how to drive.. I was 10-11 on our farm. First driving lesson, dad is hammering along in our truck, I am studyin his hand and feet co-ordination, we enter this sharpish corner (this is on gravel and rock by the way, with a sheer drop on one side and a cliff face on the other) this freaking big 4 wheeldrive truck gets sideways and my dad holds it there on the throttle... we exit sideways and he countersteers to straighten the thing out. he turns to me and says "..thats how not to drive with ur mother in the car" :mrgreen: I did not know whether to cry or laugh coz I had pissed myself :oops:

rotary peices of shit? obviously you never owned one. rotaries are good motors, if you know something about them 90 percent of their "unreliability" status came because morons were feeding them low octane when the manual specifically said high octane. i have owned several rotary cars and several of my friends do now, and they are great cars. i cant wait to drive a rx-8 and then next rx-7. i have owned several 2nd gen rx-7s and all of them seen every day driving, and one racked up 190k miles on it and still ran perfect and didnt have a problem in the world.

because most reviewers are morons. honestly i dont agree with alot of them. its rotary for gods sake rotary= crap ive taken class's put on by mazda for rotary repair and it taught me one thing rotarys are crap. i dont like to rev to 7 grand to get into my powerband a good car should have a large power band not a tiny big one at peak rpm thats just sad and honestly pethtic if i worked for mazda id be ashamed. im sure it has a tendancy to understeer. im sure it handels nice just not good or great but then again people today are pretty easy to please most people are so used todriving their coke bottel motors around that they have no clue with tourque is. the feeling of a car pinning your head to the seat as you hammer the pedal to the floor and no civic owners your car cant do that. their is no driving pleasure in modren cars its sad.

^ I disagree with u tkach, a rotary engine makes amazing power for its capacity and Mazda have done some amazing engineering with the car.. just add a small twin turbo setup to a rotary and you have one powerful motor WITH a broad power band :mrgreen:
As the others, I think the rotary engine is something superb.. I don't know what is a good engine for you, but don't talk about big bore V8s... a 1300 cc rotary can develop so much power and it's still technically amazing IMO.
As for reviewers beeing moron, sometimes it's true, but when you see TV shows and read magazines from 3 or 4 coutries and see always great scores for a car, you can't go on and saying you're the only one knowing the truth, you know?

if the rotary is such a crap engine, then why do SO many ppl still work with them?!
i'm not a fan of the rotary but i also don't find it popular sticking V8's in every single god damn car!

Different strokes for different folks--some people just don't want big American Muscle at the front of their car. Although the rotary may be a bit gutless in NA form, it still has amazing specific output and is very compact and light. This fact combined with a good chassis adds up to what evo calls "simply one of the best driver's cars we've tested in a very long time." Everything I've read said the governing handling trait was very progressive oversteer, not understeer for what it's worth as well.
Hell, I'd take one if someone wants to offload their "piece of shit" :mrgreen:.

Thats the way I would drive a car (and have) on a test drive - why not? ;) They (the dealers and manufacturer) treat you like shit once they have your money anyway... LOL :lol: ...

one time i went to go test drive an audi a6 4.2 just for fun, my friend and i spent the whole time trying to get it to powerslide around a round about. some e-brake, some rally flick...but we couldnt do it....the guy wasnt impressed, but went on to ramble aobut how safe the car was etc etc. then we went to try an IS300...hahahaha
Didnt the rotary engine in the rx8 win a reward for best engine 2003 or something

Wow Honda had three of the top places and BMW 2.5 (Cooper engine is mostly Chrysler :roll:). Certainly says something about their engineering talent.
