Why are the drivers both fine?? Surely they both have the same seats?

Didnt a WRC co driver have a spike go through his seat a year or so ago because it was that close to the chasis?

it was the fault of the spike for sure but if the seat was a bit higher he would have been ok. Just a way of pointing out how low they sit :shock:

Also Sebastian Lindholm had to retire because his co-driver's back was "ruined".That stage was in the program for the first time and as Grönholm said: it's a lot different when you make notes at 80km/h and race at 180km/h...I hope they are all alright.

I don't know but when someone do not know the language it seems like the driver was asking for directions.. I was like what the hell was wrong with him.... But guess I'm wrong.. hope the co-driver get well soon...

wow.. the co pilot sounds like hes in real pain..

is there somethin bout Grönholm's co-pilots gettin injured? wasnt it just last year when a rock bounced up through the seat and went straight to the guys "asshole" as Grönholm explained after the stage..

That's amazing...one, for Rautiainen to continue after what is clearly a very painful condition and two, for Grönholm to still run through there at what appears to be very significant speeds, basically, without his co-driver.

I thought that the notes that the co-driver has, is based upon prior runs through the course, wouldn't they have already gone through there and gone over that jump before? I thought they get a couple of dry runs, before the day of the race? Or, are they limited to a low speed drive through for notes...so the co-driver didn't really appreciate the jump and what it would be like at full speed?

I have a bad back and all I can say is that it sucks...but then...I don't go off roading at crazy speeds, in a bucket seat with basically no padding...
