My mistake... The CPCC (http://www.cpcc.ca/) held all levy proceeds in trust and will be returning them to the manufacturers (http://www.cirpa.ca/Page.asp?PageID=122&ContentID=824). Apple's refunding is probably for good PR. They could keep it for themselves but good PR is priceless especially with the blah blah blah crowd. ;)

What I'm wondering is will other companies like Creative/Dell do the same.
