Huge Python fried in electirc fence

Took a few shots of an african rock python we came across at a freinds farm.
It was trying to cross the game fence, which is electrified. In order to get shocked the circuit needs to be completed, thats why it got through the first section unscathed. When it crawled through and touched the second fence it obviously started getting shocked. It turned around to bite the fence, got caught and fried itself....

I bet you didn't realise how hectic the teeth are on a python. Looks like it had eaten recently, most probably a small buck or deer.

people were sendin each other sms here sayin there was a pythin loose in the city
caused the local news paper to clear it out
they said the pic was taken 7-9 years ago somewhere in africa
it died due to continues electric shocks iven to it through te fence

later animal enthuasiats skined it & found a antleope[which was its last meal] inside

Those huge snakes are beautiful animals. Their massive size and strength are way out of proportion. I always watch the snake documentaries on National Geographic channel, the best one that I have seen thus far is the one with Dr. O' Brody, the one were he goes anaconda hunting in the Phillipines. I'm fond of the python's and anaconda's camouflaged skin ... but don't get me wrong here, they do scare the big jesus out of me :)

Sad that a beast of this size and age has to die that way.
