1) Longhorn has been changed to Vista.
2) Vista means 'view'.
3) It's still a long way off - and it was called Longhorn, so we wouldn't be out of line calling it 'Long View'.
4) 'Long View' is a song by the band Green Day.
5) Green Day released an album called 'Dookie'.
6) Dookie is a slang term for feces (i.e. crap).
Longhorn = Vista = crap

It's just common sense. ;) All the spiffy features on Vista is pretty much an old hat to me. I doubt they'll be able to fulfill everything they set out to do and meet the 2006 deadline. They dropped WinFS (http://news.google.com.ph/news?q=winfs&num=100&hl=en&hs=MhE&lr=&client=firefox&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:unofficial&sa=N&tab=wn) for example. I'm guessing it'll be available on the decade anniversary of Windows 95 on August 24 or as late as December.
Compilation on everything that is known about Windows Vista can be read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Vista

Vista in latvian means hen
Brazilian Portuguese:
Vista = Wear something
Vista = Eyes
Vista = Pay with Money
Vista, in Sanskritist means crap.
Vista is -- "A distant view or prospect"
Which only makes sense, because I'm sure it'll be delayed..
New definition for Vista: The view you see outside your office window while your computer switches from Blue Screen of Death to Red Screen of Death, reboots, crashes, pours water on itself, ignites and then explodes.
Oh, and then customer service asks if you have plugged in your computer.

The image (from the Windows Vista website (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/default.mspx)) can be interpreted in two ways
1)
Small person: Is it there yet?
Big person: Nope, I still can't see it. Not even on the horizon...
2)
It appears to be the two persons who are standing on a cliff edge getting ready to jump.. "farewell cruel world!"
And in related news, Microsoft announced it was suing the following cites/towns/counties for trademark infringement:
Vista, CA
Vista, MO
Vista, FL
Vista, IA
Vista, MN
Vista, MT
Vista, NM
Vista, NV
Vista, NY

Well lets hope its better than XP. If it manages to be as fast as a clean install of XP (non SP1 or SP2) I will be happy.
