Hey i've currently got a 1985 Volvo 740 turbo (automatic) and im hoping to install a manual 5-speed transmission as the manual or (HP) high performance version is quite rare.. havent seen one yet and apparently it goes pretty damn fast ... you can even tune them to 530BHP
but i need to find out the difference in the differential ratios, to see if i can either leave as is or have to replace it with the diff of a manual version
so does anyone know where i can find this information?.
ive tried online and asked around at a few volvo places and come up with bugger all, and i really dont want to just install the 5 speed and have it shit out on me

It's FWD correct?
If so then the differential is inside the transmission hence it being a transaxle.

Unfortunately I can't be of any help regarding this matter but I can tell you that all Volvos prior to the 850-series are RWD.
