Mine was an AR50, the same colours as this AR80:

My first 'proper' bike was an RD125LC (red and black but same graphics as this one, I think mine was a 1986):

Of course after you pass your test you go out and ride as much as you can of anything you can get your newly-licensed hands on. The first 'test ride' I had, and experience of riding anything bigger than a 125 was one of these:

130kg and 45hp - Let me tell you, it felt like a rocket!
Alas, the TZR was at the time much more than my budget would allow, so I had one of these at Uni, effectively the TZRs fatter older sister...being a bit bigger (100cc bigger) she had a little bit more oomph (14hp)
