Koenigsegg had an outing at the Nordschleife at the Nürburgring for the first time the other week.
Without any prior setup or adjustment the Koenigsegg CCR managed to lap the ring in 7.39 minutes.

nthfinity was referring to the C6 Corvette (I assume) when he said 'overpriced american bathtub'.....not the K'segg.

Nah - GM fucked us on the back end on this one... for some or other reason they won't admit to the 7m40s lap - GM afterall does NOT bow to anyone... even if 7m43s is slower, that's the time they will stick to - simply because it's the time THEY anounced. :P ;)

Excuses excuses...............
At least w ehave times to make xcuses about - F-cars are too skeered to time themsleves at the Northloop - so they stick to that coil of wet spaghetti known as Fiorano.. :P

Its a private test track. You want them to give Chevy an invite? God damn you guys try hard to put anything but the Z06...I can feel the passion through the net...hehe
besides dont you think Ferrari would murder anyone on that track? Their cars are set up for it...

Incredible time for an untuned for the Ring suspension. The Kegg is gonna be close to the CGT's time when they are done with it. It seems like everybody is now testing their hypercars at the Ring...Even regular sportscars like the Vette are doing testing there now...Heard it did a 7.43..Incredible time..I was off by 1 sec on my guestimate. Cant wait for head to head tests with the best from all around the world vs the Z..I think the new Skyline is being tested there as well...Europeans should be honored that everyone wants to come in your back yard to develop a better sportscar.

Any more info on that?
specifically on the 'lutzring'... and yes, they sucked ;) they both require FIA-like surfaces to do anything really special, but in the real world, they usually end up giving numbers much less then on a race track that isnt a road... the NS is a road, and the Lurtzring is based off cirtain turns at the NS
conversely, the 997 did quite well
^^ and it wasn't just this version that is capable either :P

don't worry RC, the word vette is inclusive
don't worry RC, the word vette is inclusive
But that's the thing - some of us don't want it to be "all inclusive". We prefer a distinction between the Z06 is and the Coupe... ;)
RC the reason F-Cars dont test at the ring is that they would break before getting 1 lap in. Not to mention its emabbarsing to get passed by GT3s and GT2s bieng driven by people named Hanz.
^^ you are so right -- I was thinking about why the supposed "premiere sports car maker" in the world would have the shortest, flattest, smoothest and technically simplest and least changing test track of any car maker... located within walking distance of the factory....
And it dawned on me...that way the driver can push the broken down cars back before lunch... ;) :P heheh

And not to mention gettign their arses kicked by a girl in a 4-door Beemer.. :P hehe

i'll work on an "unoficial" time... i should have it by day's end tomarrow.
just a guess, but i would suggest very near the Z time; perhaps slightly quicker :P
^^ well - considering every "test" car was a pulley-modded ringer - it's no wonder.. right? :P hehe

here I was thinking it was their 2nd go at this, just repost :(i seemed to have missed the original a few weeks ago... but since they said something to the nature of 'fine tuning the suspension' why didnt they do it while at the NS, and still get a 'faster' time?
