Wow...this may lead to the dramatic percentage of divorces throughout the world. Clever technology, but it would take some time getting used to.

wow, impressive, now imagine instead of 2 views, u have approaching infinite views, then the stealth car in 007 (vanquish) may come true.

Clever stuff indeed. But i think im gonna remain a scpetic for now.

As gucom pointed out, surely there must be a bit fo interefernec, or you have to sit at exactly the right angle in order for it to function properly, and so that you dont end up getting a mix of the simpsons and google. Simsoogles?

A couple things I see.. First: you still dont here different sound(which means the market would probably more be suited to monitor advertising in businesses..)

Second: Whats the point, the tech is prolly more expensive then having 2 monitors in the first place.

nice to see that alot of you guys read :D
not just look at the picture and start criticising :|

the answers are in the artical (that text next to the pic)
Q - "wow thats cool...i wonder if the views aren't overlapping tho..."
A - "One catch is that the images overlap if viewers stand right in front of the screen. Moving a few centimetres to the left or right may be necessary for a clear view."

Q- "First: you still dont here different sound"
A- "earphones"
or you can use the modern point sound systems that allow only parts of a room to hear the sounds using point and hear speakers

Actually I read a different article on this exact machinery yesterday.. Head phones dont cut it imho and that still doesnt answer my question about the price..

I guess we will only know when they start selling them it shouldn't be that much more, it is just 2x the amount of pixels, the the cost of 2 screens

/\/\/\/\/\/ - this is how the pixels are laid out on the screen,

________ - this is how the pixels are laid out on a regular screen

I have to admit, the Japaniese are really good at making useless electronics. Its intersting because it shows how far we can push technology but on the other hand its tottaly useless.

It's a interesting idea and concept, but i don't see what to do about the sound. It would be hard to hear your program with another one on at the same time. It makes no sense.
