almost every time a commercial break come on I see this stupid ad for the new mitsubishi eclipse (the one with the asian drummers)
everytime I turn on the TV it is on?
Is it just here in canada or is it happening elsewhere?
seems like a waste of $ for mitsubishi to me, don't know anyone of my friends that wants the car

They need to do more then advertise.. like do yet another redesign the car that makes it lose about 500 lbs.

Anyone else notice how much it resembles the 97 body style? Is Mitsubishi in a shitload of trouble or something? I've always hated Mistsubishi anyway. After replacing 4 engines within one year, you're kinda left wondering just how many are blowing up else where :?

It's still shit, no matter how much it gets painted across the TV screen :)
Yep, they are advertising it here quite a bit too
Mitsubishi know how to make great fork lift trucks, buses, cargo trucks, ships, trains, even aeroplanes and space rockets... but they can't produce a car worth a damn.. ;) hehehe

The car is ok - with the correct suport mechanism and mods... the company car division sucks ;)

Evo... unless u r sayin that that is also a bad car...
The evo isnt exactly reliable here, at least in the US.
In the US, mitsubishi is almost synonymous with unreliable.

probably because you chose friends wisely

In europe as well...i remember a couple months ago they tried to change the car for the drivers' license exam to a mitsubishi colt(currently it's an astra) and there was a freakin' uproar from the community of driving instructors...but of course the gov didn't listen and they ended up doing a trial run in some small city up north and it was a complete disaster...the engines went bad, there were some transmission problems...mistubishi is pretty much only still acceptable here in the form of an evo (and various home stereo paraphernelia :) )

i honestly dont think the car looks that bad, but it is overweight and needs the AWD of the GS-X days. and yes Toronto, like an hour after reading this post i turned on the TV and saw that ad you were talking about loll.
