TransAm2001 asked in the bike forum if I have any pics of my R1 so I figured what better time to run out and take a few shots.

My bikes in the past have been performance modded to one degree or another, but this one has been the most fun. The last dyno run it put down 173 horsepower to the wheels and 82 ft-lbs of torque. I am very happy with these numbers and don't plan on doing anymore. I am done.

Lovely! Unbelieveably quick with 173hp as well, I should imagine...

Is the steering damper stock or an aftermarket part?

Thanks for showing us your ride, Minacious. 8)

Im personally not a biker,i see guys out on sunday afternoons in big groups goin for rides....R1's,busas,gsxr1000 etc etc and they scare the shit outta me,gotta be sensible to ride a powerfull bike and i dont trust a lot of people around here and i dont want knocking off one,lol

but i love the R1,its the bike i would have if i was into bikes.once got offered a ride on a modded one,190hp i think it was,i turned it down though, lol so of course i like your bike a lot :D

Yamaha claims 180 (with ram air effect) and 172 (without ram air) at the crank. If I am correct mine now has a little more than 200 at the crank, but I was never good with the drivetrain conversions.

Ive missed this topic completly!

That is one beautiful bike dude! I would love to own a motorbike, it was my first choice before a car, but my parents would not allow me to buy one. I was going for a RS125, as a first bike, not the slowest first bike, but something to learn upon...once i move out, im getting one!

Take care on the road dude, i dont know about America, but Australian roads are full of morons who fail to check there blind spots before merging and just basic road rules, and bikes are often at the recieving end sadly.
