After a couple of topics dedicated to rides I got its back to some normal sightings this time. :D

First off is a DB9 Volante at the dealer - nice, but I still prefer the Coupe. :)

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/8228/astonmartindb9volante45fr.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=astonmartindb9volante45fr.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/4674/astonmartindb9volante62kf.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=astonmartindb9volante62kf.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/6398/astonmartindb9volante75qf.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=astonmartindb9volante75qf.jpg)

As I was arriving at the dealer a customer was leaving in this sexy blue 997 S

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/9504/porsche997carreras303au.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=porsche997carreras303au.jpg)

SL55 – not a fan of it with those wheels I have to say. :| The owner already has an F360 and a F430 on order, which is due to arrive in 4 months.

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/1515/mercedesbenzsl55amg218et.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=mercedesbenzsl55amg218et.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/1174/mercedesbenzsl55amg221uv.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=mercedesbenzsl55amg221uv.jpg)

Another CLS500 – black is great on it! There were so many damn reflections that it made it very difficult to take decent pics. :bah:

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/4373/mercedesbenzcls500359uo.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=mercedesbenzcls500359uo.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/4206/mercedesbenzcls500370dw.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=mercedesbenzcls500370dw.jpg)

Maserati 3200GT, never get tired of looking at those tailights. :D

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/718/maserati3200gt199mu.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=maserati3200gt199mu.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/3893/maserati3200gt200yu.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=maserati3200gt200yu.jpg)

BMW E46 - I used my full 12x optical zoom to get this close from across the street.

http://img12.exs.cx/img12/5653/bmwe46m3657ig.th.jpg (http://img12.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img12&image=bmwe46m3657ig.jpg) http://img12.exs.cx/img12/8312/bmwe46m3669ql.th.jpg (http://img12.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img12&image=bmwe46m3669ql.jpg)

An unsual colour for a Jaguar XK8….but kinda cool. :D

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/8280/jaguarxk8257af.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=jaguarxk8257af.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/964/jaguarxk8268ej.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=jaguarxk8268ej.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/571/jaguarxk8272ep.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=jaguarxk8272ep.jpg)

Toyota Supra....in a nice location (well the 3rd pic makes it look like that anyway). :D

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/962/toyotasupra586xa.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=toyotasupra586xa.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/3140/toyotasupra594ot.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=toyotasupra594ot.jpg)

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/247/toyotasupra600ow.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=toyotasupra600ow.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/3015/toyotasupra614mq.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=toyotasupra614mq.jpg)

Al, you should have told me you were in Perth – could’ve met up. :P
EDIT: I don't think this is an 'exotic' or something, the pic is here because of its number plate.

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/2971/al1232jv.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=al1232jv.jpg)

Then I was driving past the Porsche/Bentley dealer when this caught my eye parked on the street. The first time I have seen the Flying Spur, and still with the GB plates on it.
However after only 2 pics a guy came out and told me to stop - and then they moved the car undercover out of my sight. :bah:

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/2912/bentleycontinentalflyingspur18.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=bentleycontinentalflyingspur18.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/7602/bentleycontinentalflyingspur20.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=bentleycontinentalflyingspur20.jpg)

Another fresh off the ship - Conti GT:

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/4728/bentleycontinentalgt387wy.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=bentleycontinentalgt387wy.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/4016/bentleycontinentalgt409gj.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=bentleycontinentalgt409gj.jpg)

Since I had already stopped I went to see what Porsches were around....

996 C4S Cabrio:

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/3444/porsche996c4scabrio19sh.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=porsche996c4scabrio19sh.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/7292/porsche996c4scabrio20sh.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=porsche996c4scabrio20sh.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/6439/porsche996c4scabrio33aq.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=porsche996c4scabrio33aq.jpg)

996 GT3 - looks great in black (shame the light was so bad meaning no more pics of it) :(

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/4606/porsche996gt3352wa.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=porsche996gt3352wa.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/1033/porsche996gt3368sp.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=porsche996gt3368sp.jpg)

997 S Cabrio

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/2830/porsche997carrerascabri4ty.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=porsche997carrerascabri4ty.jpg)

then a 997 S in the service area - quickly took a couple of pics since I probably shouldn't have been there.

http://img347.exs.cx/img347/7012/porsche997carreras312nh.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=porsche997carreras312nh.jpg) http://img347.exs.cx/img347/3996/porsche997carreras326jj.th.jpg (http://img347.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img347&image=porsche997carreras326jj.jpg)

And what a way to finish – how cool is this BMW? :? :x

Some fine sightings and some great pictures :!:

The Flying Spur sighting is a very rare one! Only the third I see, spotted on the road! BTW; It's Continental Flying Spur: The Flying Spur was a Rolls :D

Thank you dingo!

Nice DB9 Volante.... not seen many pics with the hood up, so thanks a load

The Volkswagen Continental Flying Spur looks even less impressive now  What a fucking sell out. A Phaeton for £60k is as well equipped (and as quick) for half the price. And it will be much more exclusive than the million or so Conti Flying Spurs they will no doubt build :|

not sure if your joking or not - but the point of that pic was because the number plate is 'AL 123' (i.e. the same as one of our members).

well I have edited the first post, so others don't think that I believe a Smart to be something special. :P

....Can't say the same of the Conti Flying Spur... looks "common", nothing special. ....

I agree, not really impressed by it at all - just looks akward too. :|

Really nice sightings, Dingo! Great you could catch the ContiFS, though I'm not that impressed by its appearance. Too bad they stopped you from taking pics of it. The colour of that ContiGT is not that usual, as is the white XK8. And I love the DB9 Volante pics. The polarizing effect really shows of ;)

And without a doubt I love the 3200 GT pics. Those taillights are just so sexy!

Btw, the black F430 you requested will arrive within the next few days ;)

Nice DB9...I really want to see what those look like in person. :D

CLS looks nice in black, actually yesterday I saw my first CLS on the road, and it was a CLS55, in black, it looked pretty good! I was very sad to not have my camera, :( since I was at work...that same day I saw an SL55 and ML55! Tons of AMGs in New Orleans.

The M3 shots are impressive, 12x zoom!

in various suburbs of Perth (South Perth, Nedlands, Osborne Park to be specific).

Nice DB9...I really want to see what those look like in person. :D

Don't you have an Aston Martin dealer there?

The M3 shots are impressive, 12x zoom!

Yep, although at 12x zoom its hard(er) to get a steady shot - but the fact it was a sunny day and the image stabilizer helped out in this case to make them good.

Yep, convertibles AM are called Volante
But only since the DB6. The DB4 and DB5 convertibles were conveniently called 'Convertible' and the previous AM convertibles were called 'Spyder' or 'Drophead'.

Dingo, what a post :D

the light blue ContiGT is my new favourite color for a ContiGT ! Please send it immediately to Switzerland !

DB9 is to die for , although the this color isn't my favourite one, you can keep it down under
Polarizer-effect in the headlight glas ? or a simple UV-filter?
I'm asking because I took some AM pictures at the BCCM in St.Moritz, and I got a similar effect without the polarizer filter ?.

The white XK8 is cool :D

Thanks for the various Porsche and MB pics.

Well its actually the second one I have seen in that colour:

http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/1562/bentleycontinentalgt226ah.th.jpg (http://img36.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bentleycontinentalgt226ah.jpg)

so you can definately take one to Switzerland.

I did some AM Vanquish pics without the Pol-filter, but I got some rainbow-effect on the lights , maybe caused by the curved shape ?

Thanks for the ContiGT

I'm not too sure why that happened, I've never had that effect without the filter on the camera. :?

I'm not sure, but I may had the UV filter on (which is a simple filter giving more contrast to pictures taken under sunlight).
After posting the pics (hopefully soon), I'll have to ask the experts
