A name referring to the tip of a bull's horn linking it to our tradition of naming cars related to the bull fighting world.
This limited special edition based upon the Gallardo exploits the vast potential of the Gallardoin terms of design and performance focusing on the sportive aspect of the product.
The new interpretation of the exterior design by introducing bi-color body paint offered in six different colors emphasines the unique architectural lines of the Gallardo rendering even more strength to this spectacular supercar. But that's not all: new rims, a predefined configuration of features such as rear view camera are all complementing the new look of the Gallardo Pitón.
The Lamborghini centro stile also translated the exterior bi-color concept into the interior giving it a new perception.
On the technical side a power increase of 20 hp to 520 hp out of the V10 5.0 engine, shorter gear ratios, new silencer and a technical novelty, named " thrust-mode", redefines the technical limits and offers, if ever possible, an improvement of the overall driving dynamics of this exceptional super sports car.
The "thrust-mode" is a feature on the e-gear equipped cars enabling the driver accelerate from 0-100 km/h in stunning 3,95 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 12 seconds. The experience a driver enjoys by "putting the pedal to the metal" is a thrust feeling he will never forget and a true Lamborhini experience.
Overall the Gallardo Pitón expresses the relentess desire of Lamborghini to transform dreams ito reality.
It will be offered as a limited special edition of around 250 units only available this year. The first deliveries will take place at end of August.
The base price of the Gallardo Pitónin 10.5% over the modelyear 06 price.
