He think it's too tehchnical advanced but like it very much, he might even consider buying one. If M5 can impress Jeremy the car must be really awesome. ;)

im sure by now everyone realized the M5, rather any M-Power BMW car is absolutel impossible to not have any desire for, especially after test driving.
interesting how he mentions that it is better than the F430 he had tested just before... juust like that autocar article F430 vs. M5..
clarkson gets annoying when he continuously rambles and rants, barely getting to the point of his article.. but does make a point about all the adjustability and customization of the car..
in my opinion, i just think JC is getting too old and is one of those dinosaurs that shudders at the site of a computer.

yeah, clarksoon is smart, M5 got same speed as Ferrari, is more practical, cheaper and more ... , one of the best cars in century
He'll return if because he will get tired of having to constantly take the car in for software upgrades.
I don't know the whole idea of JC driving a BMW would be quite unbelivable I mean how many times does he ripp in too BMW. It must realy be a midblowing car to make JC think about buying it.

BMW M5... Ford GT... BMW M5... Ford GT... tough decision! :P
Does anybody know if JC stills owns the SL55 AMG? What about a E55 AMG then... he's getting old, his back needs a confortable and relaxing car... what's better than an AMG then?
M5 is better
he got SL 55 AMG, not SL 65 AMG,

Personally i think he'll be on the way to the BMW dealership then veer off the road to the Ferrari dealership :P
Either that or have the 430 for fun and an M5 for everyday and what a car for everyday

haha, yeh i think that was one of the attractions of the GT, lack of complication, but hell it seems to all work in the M5

Must be a great car if he likes it.

Don't think he will buy one. He's no BMW kinda guy (whatever that is). But it's clear that he likes the M's, and rightfully so.

^^^ I liked that. . . he does ramble but he ties it all together in the end. I like that style of writing.
Ehh, I don't like new M5 that much. I would much rather have a clean E39 M5. That is much more of a car to go incognito than the E60.
But BMW has never made a bad M car. . .

True, but I'm still curious how this will turn out.
IMO this is the perfect car for him, sporty but probably very reliable. Fun, fast and practical at the same time.

Just picked up the latest Top Gear. Apparently he's already sold his Ford GT (or that is what it seems to imply), and I guess that's why he's thinking about the M5.

indeed he has returned it to Ford, he can't drive now anyway as he slipped 2 discs. Check JW car news, JW is always prompt with the latest news

I think he's trying to catch up with Sabine(Ringtaxi driver-the fastest taxi driver in the entire world-)...
after that deep embarrassement with the Jag diesel on Top Gear!!

IMO that wasn't embarrassing. I don't think so many (normal) people could have gotten the Jag round in less then 10 minutes in a period of 2 days. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Jeremy is a really good driver, but you can't say he's that bad. And it's only normal that someone like Sabine blasted the Jag round a lot faster then a normal person can.

Yup have to agree, most of the people who criticise jeremy's driving have never driven anything like the cars he has and neither have I (though i have driven a transit :P ) I always say its an achievement to have driven the fastest cars in the world for years without actually killing one, or himself, only a couple of minor crashes to my knowledge= quite an accomplished driver IMO. He's not a racing driver, but certainly must have resonable car skills to still be on the planet

i like the car, but it appears to be quite bland not too striking.

thats how all the german performance sedans are. The E55/RS6/M5 they all look like the regular versions of their car. Thats is the point, to be a wolf in sheeps clothing. To not find out that you fucked up messing with that quad exhaust BMW/Mercedes/AUDI until it was too late.

Lol true with the e55 and M5, however i beg to differ with the RS6. Its much more aggressive than the convertional and looks the part. That car looks like no sheep. That thing looks like the beast that it is. And i think the e34 and current e60 are exactlly what u are talking about, They appear to be more sheepy. And whats up wit the No fog like business? I sort of like the fog lights.
