I drive a car with the overtly long color name of "Medium Gulf Blue Metallic". It was going to be a limited edition color, but alas, the year after I bought the car, it was made a standard color. Way to keep the collectable value up on your 'limited edition' cars, GM! :x

I got a very nice Red for my MX-3... I have to say it looks very good indeed, but still...I think it's a color that only really matches in Italian cars...my favorite one (of the afordables of course) Alfa Rome 147 GTA...just a master piece.

nice car interceptor_01,the 130hp ones arent slow for the size of the car.get them on a motorway and they fly on top end,it may only have 130hp but its torque is like 220 or around that area

Yep I can confirm that, the six speed manual has 310 NM of torque, the five speed manual has 285 NM of torque. My dad has driven one with me sitting next to him and well for a diesel, it is quite fast. It does 0-100km/h in 9.6. The TDI engine's are quite sporty (relitivly speaking) but the problem with this 130hp version(and the 150hp one) is that their not very progressive, torque increases too sudden and that's not very pleasant. That's the good thing about the common rail engines. If I were you I would take the Mondeo 130hp diesel. It has a 9.9 time (0-100) = still good, and it's way more confortable engine. And the chassis is better, like they proved in Top Gear (F1 replica car's). I do like the 130hp passat engine, but I like the mondeo's engine better (my uncle has one).

But the ML430 is mine and my dad. SL380 is my dad collection which I take out once a while in the summer due to it being a convertible. And the Rice out Honda SI converted to Lexus IS300 front and Mercedes CLK back belongs to me and my brother.

I agree Ford Interiors aren't great but I also think the interior in a Saxo is very poor. Anyway - I don't want to get into an argrument.

I currently drive a Puma as shown on previous page but that'll be changing in approx 8 months for a Honda S2000

They don't set the world on fire but 240bhp, 0-60 : 5.5secs, 150mph top speed is certainly quick enough for me, especially as I’ll only be 25 when I buy it.

The only sports car within my budget that would quicker is a 2nd hand TVR

2002 Daewoo Lanos Hatch 300 miles (havent licenced it yet) Red.

Soon to come:
80's Civic hatch!!!! We are going to make it into a drag car. That means we are going to stick either a 327 c.i. or a 350 c.i. GM engine in it. I got hook ups for a cheap Supercharger and nitrous too!

Sorry gis but I must agree with SDK2003. A saxo is good quality for money, the suspension is good for a little car and it's very nimble. The VTS 120hp version is certainly a beast for it's size and will beat a lot of car's with much more hp's. But sorry the interior isn't very good up to my oppinion. With a 120hp version, without the extra's you still get the standard plastic steering wheel. And that steering wheel is slippy, you should know, you drive one all day. Don't get me wrong I would like to have a VTS one day, but I just don't like the standard interior.

And by the way, I love the S2000, for that kinda money you get a real sportscar with pretty good confort and luxery. I think the VX-220 is very nice too, but you can hardly use that often. That's more a second car when you allready got a nice first car to use everyday. That's like clarckson sayed in his Top 100 car DVD, he loves the elise, but you can do everything it does (ok, it's 0,5sec slower to 100 = so what) with the S2000 and have more confort.

gis
06-11-2003, 07:42 AM
to tell u the truth i didnt get the saxo for its interior,i got it for a nippy little car with cheapish insurance for my first car

When it was all done, I think it cost something like $20k. Not a whole lot, but quite a bit for just an engine swap. It's very unique though. Just a guess, but I bet there isn't more than 10 people that have done the swap in the US.

The car jerks if when you first release the clutch and accelerate inmediately you let off the gas..
Also do it slowly, the faster you let got of the clutch the more gas you have to give it at the same time other wise the car may stall and will definetely jerk..

yes I have it, sometimes revs are jumping (700 - 1100) when I'm 4 example braking for the red light. sh.. I've been in several bmw service st.... trying to solve it and nothing (everything is OK when they are checking  ). I've read article on the net about it and it is quite common on all M3s, M roadsters & coupes.

coombsie66

Noosee, that BMW looks really nice, honest. There's only one thing wrong with it. You cannot stick an M3 badge on it, since it's not an M3. That's forbidden. Sorry.

I have big dreams...........that i know i will forfill so its ok for now.

In the meantime i drive a 106 XSI.
Basically its ok....

Its 100bhp and it handles!!!!
thats the best thing about the car. I can throw it round any corner, and i know it will take it. Understeer is easy to cope with in a FWD car.

I had an AXGT before that, which was faster, but built out of feathers.

I can say ive driven a

Subaru WRX STI 333bhp - diddnt properly drive this though.
Nissan Sunny GTiR - This was FAT.....love it
Renault 5 GT Turbo - This was fun, diddnt like the lagg though?
Jaguar XJ6 - This was slow, but it did have a sports button!!
Ferrari 355 Berlinetta - Track day
Porsche 911 Carrera 2 - Track day
Dodge Viper GTS - Track day

Thats all i can remember...
But in my life i AM GONING TO HAVE

Tvr Tuscan?
Ferrari of some sort?
911 Turbo

And i know i will have them, so im not worried for now. lol
I love dreaming

This is my baby, shortly there might be an RX-8 or a 350Z (more likely) parked in the drive. But unfortunately the only pics I have are far too large and aren't posted on the net. Dark Blue, and faster than a Mondeo ST220 without any modifications at all, and that's only a 5speed vs. the Mondeo's 6. wow.. Nice rims.. I like them.. How much did u pay for them?

That's pretty hard to say :? I bought them during a trip in Thailand (there is a very cool Autobacs shop in Bangkok, and an even cooler JUN garage I have the opportunity to visit ;) ) but then I have to bring them back to France by plane, so I have to pay an "excess luggage" tax... At the end, around 150€ each, which is not too expensive for rims of such a quality :)

Looks like a cardboard cutout if i am correct

but then again it may not be

Anyway I own a white 1986 Mitsubishi Cordia GSR, which has a 4g62 non-intercooled turbo engine. its fairly stock at the moment and isnt that quick but handle quite well. The only front wheel drive i have ever driven that is so neutral in ballance.

Soon i will be putting in a 4g63 intercooled turbo from a galant vr4 and only weighing 950kgs and having over 200hp without mods it should fly

This is not my car but it looks exactly like this...
