To all Polish members

Hey so i was out driving this morning around 4 am (as we all do I'm sure :wink: ) and i was on the road from wilanow to konstancin when i saw a police car...off the road...crashed into one of the trees along the bike path on the left. I thought i saw a body bag :shock: . And a lot of somber looking police...as well as firefighters. The car looked pretty banged up. For those that don't know the area (and why would you :?: ) it's basically a 4 lane road (both ways) with a center dividing grass thing, and canals (waterless) on both sides, and then there's trees and bike path. I saw dirt marks across all 4 lanes (!) and the police car in the ditch, facing the road :shock: . So i was just wondering if you guys heard anything about it...some of you may live in the area...i don't know if it'll make the news because i drove by again like half an hour later and there weren't any tv vans or cameras or anything. There were 4 police cars there, not counting the crashed one, and fire engine...

On the way back i made a small vid...i could have taken pictures but decided not to as i hate rubbernecking...but i was just wondering about what happened... given how unusual the event is. The police here are generally good guys, let me off for speeding 3 times, for using a cell phone once, and once for not having my lights on...I know there are some active polish members here and wondering if you guys knew anything?

Hmmm...sad to hear, but I didn't here anything about it from media. Car crashes in our country are pretty common (because of the pathetic state of all the public roads) so I doubt it would be on the news, as it was probably just another "ordinary" accident.

Well, do they hand out any free local mags near your place like "Metropol" ?? They chould have some info there. Or they'll probably broadcast the incident on the TVP3 channel. I'll keep an eye out.

Um.... Pharzo, I am not from Poland and even not from Czech but can you explain pleez why seeing a cop crashed and dead is interesting? :| :roll: You got troubles with police or what? :?

Well if you read my first post...the crash itself is pretty interesting, with the dirt marks across all four lanes...i'm just curious as to what happened. And no, as i wrote in my first post, i don't have "police troubles" :lol:
