This is cool. Don't know where in the US you could get these for those prices, but I heard the used market is a lot cheaper in Eurpoe? I could dig a Lotus Carlton after seeing that infamous video of the Lotus that lays waste to the cop car chasing him for speeding. Similar M5 one also. First car I bought on GT4 when I had the cash, that Carlton.

I remember one overtaking us years ago; it spun its wheels at 50-60mph!

Some cars are cheaper in Europe used, some are more expensive but it is generally the same - Germans hold value best.

Take a stang or a vette over (buy it here and ship it) and you can make a couple of K easily.

There are some great cars featured here but my personal fav would have to be the M5 its the one that started the whole 4 door supercar segment plus as TransAm2001 german cars d hold their valure better then the rest. But like just about everyone the Carlton would be just so tempting at that price!

The most practical one here is prob the e55 though...very nice car...if you're sensible. I'd still go for the mazer :D

M5 for me, Opel no way :lol: Its partually Lotus but its still an Opel.
And good Idea of shipping cars from US tahnx TransAm2001 :wink: Cause you still barely meet american cars here.

i would go for e39 m5.. that thing is fast
faster than e46 m3 on highway

I have no idea where these prices can be found either. Here, BMW E39 M5's are going for prices strikingly similar to new, especially in Walnut Creek. The BMW dealer has them on the lot, and marks the E60's sky high.

I also don't think finding a late gen. Quatroporte is going to be easy in the US.

I still like the E39 the most however, very nice lines.

Sorry. I live in Martinez, CA. A city over is Walnut Creek, and that's where the E39's sell for MSRP. The Ford dealership there is trying to sell a GT for 300K.

No problem, yeah, Ford dealers are greedy. But can u blame them?? They finally got a car that everyone wants, for the first time they won't need to lick ppl's ass just to sell an Escort or Focus.

BMW on the other hand, don't have such a problem....thus they are more "reasaonable" on markups. I rarely see a BMW sales get his/her butt off the chair, u are the one who approach them, not the other way around.

Well...yea I can't blame ford. This dealership is a bit sleazy, however. They're shooting themselves in the foot by bidding up the price.

I talked to a salesman, he told me they let no one--even prospective buyers--touch or sit in the car. A guy with a Maybach came to the dealership, and they wouldn't let him sit in it or open the doors. He left angrily, and then another guy came, told them he liked the car, it drives nicely. They asked how, and looked outside to see he had one as well.

I think the BMW dealer has expensive prices because of the market situation around here. The housing market is still booming, and somehow people still have a ton of money. I've yet to get pictures of an E60, it was sold and not in the showroom. I'm working on it though. The Mercedes dealer has some CL65's as well.

^^ Wow....that really is bad salesmanship. Are they living in their own little fantacy world or something. They prolly thinking "JACKPOT, I gonna be a millionare" just becoz their dealer has a Ford GT or two.

The one thing is this dealership shouldn't be so bad. They're SVT certified, and the only dealership that is in the area. They've had a monopoly on Cobras and Lightnings for a while now. The other dealer used to be a Lithia--and Lithia is terrible when it comes to honoring warrantees.
