Whoa, that's a pretty interesting list, with some insanely high power numbers to go with the high speeds. Amazing that the two fastest cars on there don't even come close to having the most hp.
Since the F1 will invariably come up; I just read in evo that Gordon Murray thinks "all this top speed stuff" in the current crop of supercars (I guess mainly the Veyron) is "a bunch of bullshit" :P He claims they didn't design the F1 for top speed, and only went back to the VW track when a customer suggested they try and see exactly how fast the F1 would go. Murray just wishes they would follow the F1's dedication to light weight. :D

Well there are a couple of tuned Ferrari's (F50, 550....), and since the list was made in 2001 the Enzo is not on there. :(

i wouldnt call this list all tht accurate ..
its probably made in america ... lol ..
and anyways .. it dosnt have clk gtr supersport

Well - none of the other cars are stock any way - so the Koenigs are just as valid.
That list surely not American - more than half the cars are German tuner specials no one ever heard of - and there no SUV's.. :)

The Weineck company (the Cobra on nr. 6) is only about 25km away from my location. Here is their website: http://www.weineck-power.de/. I know they did a 800hp (with nitrous 1200bhp) one but this one is simply insane!

I do not agree with many on that list. As far as I know several of those are merely theoretical. Like the Lotec C1000 (And the Vector). I may be wrong of course. But as far as I know...
Also there are some missing cars. For instance I know there was at least one street legal Porsche 917. I doubt it was in full tune, but it was surey capable of 350kph.
Same goes for a street legal Porsche 962 (Not tuners. A real Porsche.)
Couldn't the Jaguar XJR-15 hit 380kph?
And honestly. If you need over 1000hp to hit 350kph I would not wat to drive the car at that speed. I think it will be seriously unstable with aerodynamics like that!
Seriously scary stuff. Remember many even said the Mclaren was overpowered for its chassis.
At least the sledgehammer has honestly held the title for many years.
The Mclaren and Koenigsegg are the top stock cars at roughly the same speed and interestingly enough a much lower power than other cars around them.

I was under the impression those use 618ci engines... not 775ci (thats 10.1 l instead of 12.7)
