Same reaction... It baffles me that MB has to copy BMW & Toyota. The only problem with Benz is reliability. Benz has always made good looking evolving cars.

THe exterior's too toned down. Makes the car look weak and meak.

Over on MBworld guy said that Command will be hard drive based. Hmm could this possibly mean that one will be able to burn CDs into the car? Maybe even watch Top Gear videos. This S-Class will surely be the Tech leader in its class, the exterior will probably look better with AMG help, and some brabus smoked out tail lights.

The wheel arches look really forced. Not good at all. I also don't care for the new rear light treatment either.

Exactly. Even the big grill can't scare people off with Benz and BMW sharing the "same" interior.

I don't mind the styling of this car at all, infact i think the rear looks quite nice - Evolutionary. The pictures probably don't do it justice; IMO i expect this car to have a pretty grand presence on the road. Not sure about the interior though, nothing unexpected.

S 500: 388 hp
S 320 CDI: 231 hp (from first quarter 2006)

Time to update. The W221 S-Class is actually an extremely nice interior, much better thant he 7 series, or A8 in my opinion.

I never liked the S-class, and this one is no exception. :?

In the rear it's similar to the Maybach and the front isn't much diferent from the previous model.....

They always made the S-class with small wheels ( maybe because it's more comfortable ) wich makes it even more uglier :x

It looks soooo boring :( And it's unbelievable how they will get away with such an obvious rip off BMW. It's a tragedy. I think the bosses of companys will look elsewhere for executive cars in the next few years.
