Sorry, I couldn't help but think about this. I was out with the missus today, and we had to go through the city (London) to get to our destination, and as we had to go through Knightsbridge (Harrod's area) and Chelsea ($3M for a 3 bedroom flat... c-c-c-crikey!), and the traffic was pretty slow, I couldn't help but notice (and count) the cars.
And I quote:
3 Ferrari 360 Modenas
2 Ferrari 360 Spiders
5 Bentley Continental GT's
2 Bentley Azure's (1 "red label", 1 "black label")
2 Aston Martin DB9's
1 Aston Martin Volante
7 BMW Z4's
1 BMW Z8
3 BMW 645i's
1 BMW 645ci
15 Porsche Boxsters (seriously)
10 Porsche 911's (different models)
1 Rolls-Royce Phantom
3 Mercedes-Benz SL's (2 SL55's, 1 SL500)
2 Mercedes-Benz CLS55's (both black)
4 Mercedes-Benz E55's (ALL black... weird... might be related)
and...
a brand-spanking new Range Rover Sport. In Orange. On 20's. Pimp? Oh yeah.
In contrast, when you come down to where I actually live, all the cars are pretty much pensioner-state boring. There is absolutely no comparison.
Any places near you that carry the same caliber?

well in my town there's a maserati 3200GT convertible, a ferrari testarossa, a few porsche boxsters, my neighbor has a very clean 1982 porsche 911 SC. most people think its a show car and are suprised when they hear he uses it as a track car. i live near san francisco, so i see a lot of exotics when i go there. my neighbor who has the 911 SC works at a shop that does maintenance and restoration on ferraris, lamborghinis, etc. he has worked on just about any ferrari you can think of, including the california spyder. then there's the shop that works on the 911 SC, called GD Racing. at GD, they have the jagermeister 1974 911 RSR that ran the 24hrs of lemans, raced at nurburgring, and some other historical races. also there is a porsche 935 (cant remember the exact year) that is painted with the jagermeister scheme as well.

Well, I live in Poland so th answer is no. But tthe ower of a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti lives about 10meters from my house, a few hundred meters further we have a Maserati 3200 (the ownder rarely takes it for a spin though), there are 2 jaguar E-types, a few BMW 850, M3's, SL55's, a 950BHP, Jag XK8, Jag XJR, Supra (most powerful car in Poland). Oh...and I forgot to mention the 9FF Porsche GT2 I saw a few days ago.
But the best place is Konstancin...as some of you know a rich guy lives there, who owns an Enzo, SLR, CL65, Porsche 996TT etc.

Where I live...pickup trucks and SUV's are out of this world. For cars, Vette's, Mustangs, and Camaros abound and that's pretty much it. We have the occasional Ferrari, Viper, Porsche 911, here and there, couple of the new Elise's, three Skylines, a Bentley or two, few Esprit's, and that's about it. But around here, there are lots and lots of plain old boring trucks and SUV's.
Same thing over here really..
On the weekend you see all these exotic cars parked everywhere.. What is considered normal cars now really
SL55
CLS55
E55
Ferrari 360
ALL BMW top models
I see like 4 Rolls-Royce Phantom and I'm not kidding or exaggerating.
Same goes for Porsche
Lambo
MB SLR
and I think they started to give away the Bentley Continental GT's
If you want to be seen in this city really you have to get your self a classic car really.

I live relatively near Woking in Surrey... so I see lots of McLaren SLR's, and there are also 2 Ferrari Enzo's that I see in my nearest town (red & black). But I have seen lots of other nice cars around too.
(for some reason, I chose to make my first post in this topic :))

lots of SLR's, are you sure about that?
Anyway as impressive as these claims are, it would be so much nicer if you guys took a camera with you and posted pics in the WYST section like TT, komotar, Wutputt, dani, gooduck, Fuego, myself and the others I forgot

Over here we get pretty much no nice cars... :(
Only in Lisbon there are quite some nice cars, but nothing compared to other countries.
The only nice car in my town is a Black/Tan F355 Berlinetta, which gets driven a lot, so I see it many times; and the owner lives only about 500 meters away from my house, but since I don't have a digital camera I'll shut up.

I'm in the process of adding photos to the high-res section, but the trouble is that I am usually driving, so I cant really use the camera (for fear of hitting the cars whilst using the camera :P ), but just for you, i'll try to get some photos in the future of the Enzo's and a couple of the SLR's. oh, and when I said lots, I saw quite a few of the development models running around, but now I only see one or two in a month

Actually, I'm not surprised if he sees a lot of SLR's. McLaren HQ is in Woking, in Surrey, and that's where they're made.
coombsie66: I agree with you completely. In fact, Porsche's are everywhere, not just London. In fact, sometimes I think that (if I had the cash) I should go out and get a Z4 just to be different.
It really is that insane.
Porsches in London = Burberry caps

And yes, McLaren is based in Woking, my friends dad works there, he was on the design team of the F1, and is now one of the directors... I tried asking for a job, but he said McLaren is having problems, so not a good idea.
about Porsches... my neighbour has a dark blue 996 GT3, its new, and apparently it will be shown on Top Gear soon, because he took it along for filming, but I dont know if it will be.... The sound is amazing though. I'll get some pics and a video soon.
but I will never complain, because he takes me on track days which is awesome :D
This is a pic of his old car last year at Goodwood, my first track event ever

In the last 3 days on the road, I've seen a red Ford GT with white stripes, an all black one with no stripes or trim at all, and an all blue one as well. There's a Black Lambo Gallardo that I see regularly around town, as well as an assortment of Bentley Continental GTs and Arnages. There's a Rolls Phantom that I see around here occasionally and a few different Diablos (both pre and post VW) and a couple of Murcielagos. There are two Enzos in the area, one red and one yellow and the yellow one is the same that I've photographed at the Jack Cauley dealership. Of the more "everyday" variety, there are lots of Porsches from the plain old Boxster all the way up to the 996 GT2 and a few 997S's, and even more Mercedes'. SL55, E55, ML55, and CL55/65 are common sights around here, and I've spotted a few CLS variants as well. Ferraris are reasonably plentiful as well. 355's and 360's roll around town on a fairly regular basis. There's even a really ugly 360 with a horrible bodykit and black-painted 3-piece 20" rims. I have yet to see a new E60 M5, but the E39 is a pretty common sight, as is the new E90 3-series. Lotus Elises are becoming popular too, I see one about every 2 days.
What I like about Switzerland is that for sure the big cities are loaded with nice cars, but you can still find Ferrari, Lambo and such even in small villages, residential areas and suburbs ;)

I used to live in Geneva, and there's a few placed where, if you hang out for some time on a particular day of the week (and at a particular time of day), you'll end up seeing some awesome exotics.
Geneva also has a few places that sell Lambo's, Zonda's, Ferrari's and so on, on sale in an industrial area on the outskirts. A Lamborghini shop a few hundred meters from another upscale car dealership...
I need to go there sometime when the shops are open... *sigh*
Hehe, you should have come at the Lambo open doors dude ;) Carugati was closed ok, but still worth :D

2 Bentley Azure's (1 "red label", 1 "black label")
Do they come bottled these days?
I live in Israel, so one the one hand everything like what you listed would be unusual, since we don't have all of those and in those quantities. On the other hand, you won't belive what ppl have in their garages, or just use for the common traffic home-work.

Lol. That's the colour behind the "B" symbols on the cars. They're either in red or in black, depending on the model specifications. Land Rover is doing this now as well (all supercharged Land Rovers will have black badges instead of green).

I see a lot of 7-series, S class, Corvettes and older 911s around here but that's about it really. M3's are pretty common as well. If you go 40miles east into Dallas you see newer Porsches and there is a chance of a Ferrari I guess, but I've only seen a couple (355s) in 2 years.
If you work on a site with 10000 people like I do, the car park turns up some sights. Best (most exotic) car in the car park outside is probably an XKR convertible and there are a couple of NSXs, a Lotus Exige, tons of Vettes (about 6 Z06s) and even more Camaro/Trans Ams. People who have really nice cars like the VPs (one or two have 911s and Ferraris) tend to have a truck or big sedan to drive into work.

In London, I see a Bentley Arnage (around '01) often, best I usually see is a 911 turbo, lots of z4, S2000, Boxter, there is a sweet SRT 8 300 HEMI in town ive seen a few times which is nice to see... a 360 spider last week (but my Ferrari sightings are usually less than 10 all season tho I dont get to Toronto much, so it would become 10 a week if I was there daily....Big cities usually egual bigger money...and as I write this from my office window.. a 911 cabrio drives by (02 or so) lotsa nice cars not to many 'serious' cars! :D

Anywhere between here and the Gold Coast in Chicago. you can see it all from the normal 911 to the extremely nice Rolls or Maybach. The only problem is it's mostly out on 8 lane highways going 70-90 mph but in the city you can see it all and it's usuall y sitting at a stop light like when I went to a car show Saturday 2 lambo's going rolling by right in front of us at the light.

not really, not for cars out of this world, there might be few ones, the enzo thats around there, the 4 or so CGT's, an SLRthat i know of, but in a city that has a population of 25 million, i mean, its just NOTHING...
this reminds me of a reaaaaaaaaaally stupid classmate that said that a residencial area in Mexico, called Lomas de Chapultepec, had to be one of the zones with more BMWs in thw whole world, hahahaha, i cracked.

don't really know of any spots around here where the cars just knock your socks off. but then again i haven't gone looking all that hard.
I know back in Washington though, if you go zip around Bellevue you're bound to see Ferrari's, Porsches, Bimmers and maybe a couple special supercars.
